Call of Duty Infinite Warfare launch sales down nearly 50% on Black Ops 3 in UK

Launch sales of “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” were down 48.5 per cent compared to last year’s “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3”.

Both Infinite Warfare and Blops 3 launched on a similar Friday in November. Both games had a huge marketing push. But, for a number of reasons, Infinite Warfare sold only half as well.

That’s not to say Infinite Warfare flopped – far from it. Infinity Ward’s sci-fi shooter was still 2016’s second-largest launch in the UK – behind FIFA 17 – despite losing half its sales year-on-year.

Young Justice Returning for Season 3

Young Justice. Young Justice fans, it’s time to celebrate, as Warner Bros. Animation has announced the series is returning for a long hoped-for Season 3.

WB Animation notes that more details, including where the new episodes will air and a premiere date, will be revealed later, but production is now beginning on the third season, which promises “new twists, turns and dangerous new threats for the team, but most importantly, the opportunity for fans to finally continue the adventures of some of their favorite Super Heroes.” Continue reading →

Voltron Live-Action Film Heads to Universal

Voltron has been going under a resurgence of lately, with the popular Netflix animated series “Voltron: Legendary Defender” picking up a second season soon after its first launched. DreamWorks Animation, who produce the series, were originally also in possession of the Live-Action rights to Voltron, and when they were acquired by Universal, it was officially moved over to their live action department. Kevin Feige Explains Where BLADE Currently Stands With Marvel

One of the first non-terrible modern comic book movies to be made was 1998’s Blade with Wesley Snipes. Most people tend to credit Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, but it was really Blade that started the journey of modern superhero films. That movie was badass!

Some people would love to see Blade make a comeback at Marvel Studios! There’s no doubt that they’d do something awesome with the character. Apparently, a while back the producers of the Underworld franchise tried to set up a crossover film that would include Blade. Sigourney Weaver is Netflix’s biggest villain in Defenders

Marvel’s head of TV Jeph Loeb just announced that Sigourney Weaver will be the main villain in Netflix’s The Defenders. The surprise reveal was made at New York Comic Con, where fans got to see Weaver come onstage next to the Defenders themselves, Charlie Cox, Finn Jones, Krysten Ritter, and Mike Colter.

We don’t know what villain Weaver will play, but the casting is obviously big news. As essentially the first lady of sci-fi, Weaver is iconic for her roles in Ghostbusters, Avatar, and obviously the Alien series. We’re looking forward to whatever it is she does.
