Frank Grillo talks Crossbones’ return in ‘Captain America: Civil War’

https://i2.wp.com/img2.timeinc.net/ew/i/2014/11/24/Crossbones.jpg?w=584

Frank Grillo’s role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier opened a big door. Although he was only in about half an hour of the film, there’s already rampant speculation about his return as the villainous Crossbones in Captain America: Civil War. And no one’s more pumped about it than Grillo, who loves the character.

“[Winter Soldier] was only a taste of what’s to come with the next film, and I couldn’t be more humbled and excited,” Grillo said. “They just kind of called and said, ‘What kind of shape are you in? We’re going to need a body scan.’ They scan your body so that whatever you wear fits you like a glove.”

Hopeful for a return, Grillo talked about his love for Crossbones, noting that, “He’s a badass. He is just vicious. I like the idea that it’s no holds barred. I love the physicality. We all know what Crossbones represents in his world.”

And Grillo’s aware of the other rumors surrounding the film, a fact that gets him even more excited at the possibility of returning. “I hear Iron Man is in Captain America 3—he’s got a big role—and the Black Panther. It sounds like this Civil War is going to be pretty interesting.”

Marvel Announces “Howard The Duck” Ongoing From Zdarsky And Quinones

Marvel Comics has announced via Entertainment Weekly that a new ongoing “Howard the Duck” series is on its way. The comic, Howard’s first starring role since a 2007 miniseries, will be written by “Sex Criminals” artist Chip Zdarsky and illustrated by Joe Quinones (“Black Canary and Zatanna: Bloodspell”) and feature the titular duck jumpstarting his career as a private investigator. In an interview with EW, Zdarsky says that he considers Howard to be “an everyman who happens to be a duck.”

“He’s angry, exasperated, and he’s had it up to here with the world around him,” said Zdarsky, “but he’s trapped here! Infinitely relatable!”

Quinones also spoke to his Howard redesign that shifts the character a little bit away from other classic cartoon characters. “I knew I wanted to disassociate his look a bit from being a literal cartoon duck, like Daffy or Donald, and instead into a sort of middle ground. Obviously I’m cartooning him here, but I wanted Howard to get away from the giant cartoon eyes. Howard should be able to sit in the same panel as Rocket Raccoon or Spider-Man, and not have it look like ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit.'”

Howard the Duck was created by Steve Gerber and Val Mayerick in 1973 and went on to star in his own ongoing series from 1976 to 1979. A feature film flop in 1986 seemingly damaged the character beyond repair and he was relegated to comedic guest appearances in other superhero comics for the past few decades. The character stepped back into the spotlight thanks to a post-credits scene in this summer’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” which added Howard to the massively popular Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Howard the Duck” #1 goes on sale March 4, 2015.

R2-D2 USB Car Charger

No need to go to Tosche Station

R2 units: is there anything those little guys can’t do? While we don’t yet have the technology in this quadrant of the galaxy for fully-automated repair droids like the R2 units from Star Wars, we can get a portion of the R2’s versatility into something small enough to sit in your vehicle’s cupholder.

You see, it makes R2-D2 whistle sadly when he sees a device that’s run out of power. Make him bloop and bleep happily again by letting him use your vehicle’s power to recharge your devices. With him plugged into your 12V vehicle power adapter (cigarette lighter), you can get 2.1 Amps through each of his USB charging ports, which is enough to charge two tablets or smartphones or, well, pretty much anything that charges via USB. What’s that, little guy? He says, “Bloop bloop bleep,” which we think means “Yay!”

Sylvester Stallone Entertaining Idea for R-Rated EXPENDABLES 4

It sounds like Sylvester Stallone is entertaining the idea of making a fourth Expendables movie even though Part 3 was supposed to be the last one. The Expendables 3 completely bombed at the box office, and fans were not happy about it having a PG-13 rating. While promoting the upcoming Blu-ray release, Stallone told Crave Online that any future Expendables will be R-rated, and admitted that they made a mistake giving the third one a PG-13 rating.

“Absolutely unequivocally yes. I believe it was a horrible miscalculation on everyone’s part in trying to reach a wider audience, but in doing such, diminish the violence that the audience expects. I’m quite certain it won’t happen again.”

The Expendables 4 hasn’t gone into development or anything yet, but Stallone has some ideas rolling around in his head.

“I have actually entertained the idea of putting the group into such an unnatural environment that it, in an of itself, creates extra suspense and tension: the ‘fish out of water’ scenario. That environment might not be time travel, but nearly just as jarring.”

I want to see the Expendables team go into space! Imagine Interstellar, but with the whole Expendables team going on some kind of crazy intergalactic mission. That’s a perfect “fish out of water” scenario. We can even take it to a more absurd level by having them fight Jason from Jason X while trying to accomplish their mission.

My two favorite characters in the last movie were Mel Gibson and Antonio Banderas, who offered some fantastic comic relief. When talking about Banderas’ character, Stallone said,

“His true personality is naturally dynamic so all I did was say ‘be yourself and pretend you’re a mercenary,’ and the rest including the dialog was all his.”

Third one bombed and i think it was due to it being a pg13 movie.  A movei like this cant be rated like that it  has to be  edgier then that  it need the blood  gore and aggressiveness to make it to where the movie need to be to bring in the fans and the money!

Guillermo del Toro Offers Details on PACIFIC RIM 2

Pacific Rim was such an insanely cool movie, and I couldn’t be happier that Legendary Pictures and Guillermo del Toro are moving forward with a sequel. During an interview with Collider, the director talked a little bit about the sequel saying that it takes place a couple of years after where the first movie left off, and says that Charlie Day and Burn Gorman will return to reprise their roles. Here’s what he had to say about the timeframe:

“It’s a few years after the first one. It’s not an immediate follow-up. It is the world having been freed of Kaiju, what happens to the world after – what happens to the Jaeger technology once the Kaiju are not a threat. It’s quite a jump.”

He went on to reveal who he thinks the two main characters will be saying,

“It’s quite a different movie from the first one in that, but I think that two of our main characters like in the first one are Burn and Charlie. They are really, really – I mean, honestly, they are probably the guys I have the most fun writing along with Hannibal Chau so just from a purely selfish drive, I like writing them. I love writing for Charlie and Burn. I mean, [Burn’s] in Crimson Peak for that reason, because I love working with him. You’re gonna get a lot of that, but the Kaijus are very different and you’re gonna see a very different type of the robots [sic] I think. It’s gonna be quite a different adventure.”

Day previously talked about the character saying that he was originally supposed to be a villain in the sequel, but I doubt that will happen, and so does Day, who said,

“I remember when I first met with him [Del Toro] that he liked the idea of Newt becoming a bit of a villain in the second film…But, I think over the course of making the film, and the way the character resonated with the audience, I don’t think he would want to turn him into a villain now, but I really have no idea.”

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE WHERE THEY TAKE THE NEXT FILM  WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Spider-Verse: Learn About All 38 Spider-Men, Women, Animal, Ghost, Alien, Mutant, and Armored Variants

Spider-Man is arguably the most popular Marvel character. He was the top costume among boys this Halloween with 2.6 million dressing as their beloved web-slinger. Because of the popularity of the character and how long he’s been around, many different variants have been created. To keep these different Spider-Men, women, monkey, pig, ghost, alien, mutant, and armored characters from clashing, Marvel has wisely put many of them in completely separate realities/universes.

Artist Dell’Otto created a banner with 38 of them, which I believe is all of them. Imgur user Mmmasian has created a gallery that breaks down every single one of them. This is an incredible resource and something you’ve gotta dedicate sometime to reading.

Peggy Carter Confirmed for ANT-MAN

http://static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/5457ae01e4b0317a9477ec64/1415032334138/peggy-carter-confirmed-for-ant-man1?format=750w

A couple of month ago it was rumored that Peggy Carter would have a cameo role in Marvel’s Ant-Man, along with a few other characters that you can read about here. It has now been confirmed that Carter will indeed play a part in the movie, and it comes from a post at Project Casting, who says that casting directors are looking for a stand-in for actress Hayley Atwell. Here’s the description that was released for the Ant-Man casting:

Casting directors are looking for an actor to work as a stand-in for the actor Haley [sic] Atwell. Haley Attwell [sic] is 31, 5’7 and 112 pounds. She is best known for her work in stage productions such as A View from the Bridge, and in films such as Cassandra’s Dream, The Duchess, The Pillars of the Earth, and Captain America: The First Avenger. In addition, casting directors are looking for a body double that meets certain requirements.

There’s a rumor going around that Michael Douglas‘ Hank Pym will have a flashback in the proloqgue movie in which he meets members of S.H.I.E.L.D. including founding members Peggy Carter, Howard Stark, Armin Zola and a young Alexander Pierce, who was played by Robert Redford in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. If Zola is in the scene, he would most likely be reprised by Toby Jones, along with Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, who is also involved with ABC’s Agent Carter series.

Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

The Peyton Reed-directed movie also stars Paul RuddEvangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Abby Ryder Fortson, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, John Slattery, Gregg Turkington and T.I. The movie set to be released in theaters on July 17th, 2015.
