Punisher Spin-Off Officially Ordered at Netflix!

Punisher Spin-Off Officially Ordered at Netflix!

Earlier this year, it was reported that Netflix was developing a Punisher spin-off, set to focus on Jon Bernthal’s gun-toting vigilante from “Marvel’s Daredevil” Season 2. The report was met with caution from Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb, but now Marvel and Netflix have made it official!

Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as Frank Castle in the series with Hannibal executive producer Steve Lightfoot set to serve as the series’ showrunner. Continue reading

Alicia Vikander is officially the next Lara Croft in the ‘Tomb Raider’ movies

Alicia Vikander, who won an Oscar for her performance in “The Danish Girl,” will take over the role of Lara Croft in the “Tomb Raider” movies, based on the video games, Variety reported.

She’ll be taking over from Angelina Jolie, who played Croft in several films in the 2000s. Continue reading

Robert Downey Jr might make Iron Man 4 after all

Iron Man Robert Downey Jr
Robert Downey Jr has been on Marvel’s books for eight years now, and the consensus is that he’ll be winding down his Iron Man role sooner or later.
He’s apparently signed up for parts in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War, sure, but an Iron Man 4 film seemed definitely off the table.

Or is it?

X-Men: Apocalypse Final Trailer..Oh and Wolverine!

Here is the final trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse that will be released on May 27th theaters. The only problem I have with the trailers so far is that it looks like Mystique is running the  movie, and it’s driven by her. This might be the only thing I don’t like of the direction of the  film. But I could be wrong. We shall see. Oh by the way, the best kept secret has just been released… Continue reading

Marvel’s Inhumans No Longer Has A Release Date

InhumansIt might be awhile before we see the Inhumans join the Marvel cinematic universe.

The film was previously slated for July 12th, 2019, but according to the Wall Street Journal’s Ben Fritz, the film has been undated, and now does not have a release date. This is not the first time the film has been moved, as the film was originally slated for November 2nd, 2018. After one bumping, the announcement of Indiana Jones 5’s release date occurring a mere week after Inhumans caused many to fear it would get bumped yet again. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige alluded to as much during a Captain America: Civil War press junket, and it turned out to be true.

This could be just some restructuring, or it could be due to more Spider-Man films making their way into the line-up. Either way, this project was probably the least anticipated of Marvel’s upcoming crop of films. While the Inhumans have made their presence felt on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, they haven’t made the same impact in the films.

Sigourney Weaver Says Neill Blomkamp’s ALIEN Sequel Will Be “Worth The Wait”

When Ridley Scott decided to make the Prometheus sequel Alien: Covenant his next movie, that put Neill Blomkamp’s Alien 5 in a holding pattern. Blomkamp’s movie is set after the events of James Cameron’s Aliens and reportedly ignores the other sequels in the franchise, and Scott wanted to take a crack at making another bridge movie between Prometheus and the first Alien before someone else came in and told another story that takes place further down the timeline.

Sigourney Weaver, who will be working with Blomkamp on Alien 5, has given a little update about the movie (via Aggressive Comix) and she says it’ll be “worth the wait.” Continue reading

The clear, tight-knit, non-paradox inducing Terminator franchise timeline could be in trouble

Despite not going over too well with critics and most everyone else, Terminator: Genisys still took in close to $440 million worldwide, (which currently places it at #197 all-time at the time of this posting. By way of comparison, 2003’s Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines is right below it at #198 with $433.4M. The dollars are not adjusted for inflation, it was released 12 years earlier, and it did not have the benefit of 3D or IMAX for extra revenue.) Paramount/Skydance seemed dead set on continuing the franchise after “readjusting” their approach to the material. Continue reading

New Info on BILL & TED 3, Which Is Reportedly Set in the UK

After years of talk and work to develop a script for Bill & Ted 3, it looks like it’s actually getting close to production. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have been very vocal about how excited they are for this movie – especially Alex Winter. Let’s face it – one of these gentlemen starred in three Matrix and two John Wick movies, and the other… just waited my table at Applebee’s.  In a recent interview with Forbes, Winter says it’s only a matter of time. BLADE RUNNER 2 Upgrades to 2017 Release Date

I thought it was very strange that Alcon Entertainment set Blade Runner 2 to open in January of 2018, since January is typically a dumping ground for awful movies. But now that concern has slipped away like tears in rain, because Variety reports that the film has now upgraded to the earlier release date of October 6, 2017 instead of January 12, 2018.
