INDIANA JONES 5 Has Been Pushed To 2021 More Disney Movie Release Dates Have Been Shuffled

We heard that Indiana Jones 5 was going to be delayed, but now Disney has made it official. The Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford sequel will not be released until July 9th, 2021. The reason for the delay is writing issues. With Jonathan Kasdan (Solo) coming on board as the new screenwriter, it seems like he’ll need more time to get the script in ship shape.

The studio has also shuffled a few other release dates for some of their upcoming films. Dwayne Johnson’s Jungle Cruise will now be released on October 11th, 2019, Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent 2 will now be released on May 29th, 2020, and Emily Blunt‘s Mary Poppins Returns will be released on December 19th, instead of the 25th.

The release date of another upcoming untitled Marvel film has been moved from July 30, 2021, to  February 12, 2021. There’s another untitled live-action Disney film set to take its first time slot.

I just want Indiana Jones 5 to be the best film it can possibly be. I hope it’s up there in quality with the original three films. It would be great to see Indiana Jones on another fantastical adventure.

Steven Spielberg: Indiana Jones 5 Will be Harrison Ford's Last

The Sun reported that Ready Player One director Steven Spielberg thinks that Indiana Jones 5 will be Harrison Ford’s last movie in the franchise.

“This will be Harrison Ford’s last Indiana Jones movie, I am pretty sure, but it will certainly continue after that,” he said.

Spielberg also discussed the possibility of Indiana Jones being played by a female. Despite knowing that fans would be outraged over the character’s gender changing, he thinks it is time for the change to happen.

BLADE RUNNER 2 Upgrades to 2017 Release Date

I thought it was very strange that Alcon Entertainment set Blade Runner 2 to open in January of 2018, since January is typically a dumping ground for awful movies. But now that concern has slipped away like tears in rain, because Variety reports that the film has now upgraded to the earlier release date of October 6, 2017 instead of January 12, 2018. Steven Spielberg will direct Harrison Ford in the untitled fifth installment in the action-adventure franchise, which will open July 19, 2019, Disney announced Tuesday.

“Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019,” said Disney chairman Alan Horn. “It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.” Continue reading

Steven Spielberg Can’t Wait to Work With Harrison Ford Again on INDIANA JONES 5

We all know that Indiana Jones 5 is gong to happen one day. Disney plans on making it, Harrison Ford will be back to star in it, and director Steven Spielberg can’t wait to work with him again in the franchise.

Like many of you, I didn’t care for 2008’s The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and I’d like to think that it never happened. I believe there’s still room for another classic Indiana Jones adventure, and I hope this next one will be it. Continue reading
