Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn Staged a Hilarious DODGEBALL Reunion For Charity

After over ten years, Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn reprised their roles of White Goodman and Peter La Fleur from the funny 2004 comedy Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story for charity. They even brought Justin Long and Christine Taylor along for the ride as the Purple Cobras face off with the Average Joes again.

Omaze is the fundraising charity group that organized the event and they released a hilarious promo video giving us all the details. It’s pretty awesome to see all these characters come together again. Basically, the winner of the Omaze drawing will take part in a reenactment of the finale of the movie!

The winner will receive airfare and hotel accommodations to the event where they will have the opportunity to play dodgeball with the teams. They will also get a photograph with everybody, get a custom jersey, and have a pizza party after the game with Ben Stiller.

Proceeds from the drawing will benefit the Stiller Foundation, which the actor founded that helps children by providing them with educational opportunities, primarily in Haiti. If you’re a huge fan of the Dodgeball movie, you’ver got to try and get in on this!

The Bat-signal will be lit in Los Angeles to honor the late Adam West

The Bat signal will be lit in Los Angeles to honor the late Adam West

Los Angeles will pay tribute to the late Adam West by lighting the Bat signal tomorrow, June 15. West, who passed away earlier this month at the age of 88, played the role on the 1960s Batman TV series. DC Comics announced the tribute on their blog, letting the world know that Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Police Chief Charlie Beck will light up the Bat signal at City Hall starting at 9:00pm Thursday evening.

The official announcement reads as follows:

The legendary star of the classic Batman TV series, which aired from 1966-68, passed away on Friday, June 9 at the age of 88. In remembrance of West’s unforgettable portrayal of the celebrated “Bright Knight,” Mayor Garcetti and Chief Beck will light the iconic Bat signal, which will be projected onto the tower of Los Angeles City Hall at Spring Street. Attending Bat-fans are invited to don their Bat-suits and trusty utility belts in honor of West’s signature role as the true crimefighter.

Joel Schumacher Apologizes For BATMAN & ROBIN But Doesn’t Regret The Bat Nipples

Back in the 90s, I remember how excited I was to see Joel Schumacher‘s Batman & Robin, but damn… that movie turned out to be a big giant turd sandwich! It’s gotta be one of the worst superhero films ever made. After seeing the awesome Tim Burton Batman films, I couldn’t understand why the studio would allow something like Batman & Robin.

Well, as we get closer to the 20th anniversary of the film that became famous for its bat nipples, the director recently talked to Vice about his movie, and he apologized to the fans who didn’t like it saying:

“Look, I apologize. I want to apologize to every fan that was disappointed because I think I owe them that.”

The BUMBLEBEE Solo Film is Set in the 1980s and New TRANSFORMERS Movie is Set in Ancient Rome

Some new information has surfaced regarding the upcoming Bumblebee solo film that’s currently in development at Paramount Pictures. The movie is set to be directed by Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) and it will star Hailee Steinfeld (Edge of Seventeen).

We knew that the movie would be a prequel story, but now we know when exactly the film will be set. According to Empire Magazine (Via: tfw2005), the movie will take place during the 1980s. They also say that the Bumblebee movie will have “less robots and the main focus is [obviously] Bumblebee”. It’s also said that movie is being made for younger audiences.

So I guess we aren’t getting that R-rated Quentin Tarantino-style Bumblebee film that was pitched to Michael Bay. That would have been interesting!

I actually do like the fact that the movie will be set in the 80s. The 80s is just such a magical time. Especially for those of us who grew up in that era! It also seems appropriate to set the film in the 80s as that when the Transformers were introduced to the world.

In other Transformers news, there’s an animated prequel film in the works. It’s being developed by the writers of Ant-Man and the story takes place on Cybertron. It will dive into the “origin myth of the Transformers millions of years ago.”

There’s also a new Transformers movie being developed that takes place in ancient Rome. There are no other details on the project than that, but it sounds like an intriguing concept. I’m curious to see how that story turns out.

The JUSTICE LEAGUE Reshoots Being Done with Joss Whedon Are Said to Be Extensive

Well, it looks like we may see Joss Whedon has his work cut out for him with Justice League. Before Zack Snyder stepped away from the project, Whedon was already helping write and plan out the reshoots that needed to be done. Well, now Whedon is directing those reshoots and apparently, there’s a lot of work that needs to be done.

According to Batman-On-Film, the reshoots that need to be done are extensive. They are so many things that need to be reshot that shooting will take place over the course of the summer. The report says:

“I have been told by a 100% vetted and more-than-reliable source that re-shoots on JUSTICE LEAGUE have commenced in London under the helm of Joss Whedon and that they will be ‘significant.’ So much so, that these reshoots are expected to take place through June and July, and maybe into August. They are NOT your ‘standard” pick-ups.'”

Some people see reshoots like this as a bad thing, others see it as a good thing. I just hope that the end result gives fans a great film! A film that’s at least just as good as how Wonder Woman turned out or better!

Whedon is one hell of a talented director and I think he’ll end up bringing some great elements to Justice League. I’m excited to see how the rest of the film in the DCEU turn out. All that matters to me is that they get the best cinematic treatment possible.

What are your thoughts about all this?
