Thomas Wayne Will Be Played By Brett Cullen in DC’s JOKER
Actor Brett Cullen has replaced Alec Baldwin in the role of Thomas Wayne, the father of Bruce Wayne, in DC Entertainment’s Joker. Cullen previously played a Congressman in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, so this isn’t his first Batman movie rodeo. He seems like a decent choice for the role. I like the thought of him in the role more than Baldwin. That was just alittle too weird.
Cullen joins Joaquin Phoenix in the title role, who we recently got our first look at in the film. He also joins Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy, Marc Maron, and Zazie Beetz. De Niro will play a reporter; Beetz will play a single mother who catches the attention of the Joker prior to his transformation the villain; and Conroy will play Joker’s mother, Penny.
Things Get Awkward When New Robin Introduces Himself To Old Robin in Promo From DC’s TITANS
Last week we got our first look at Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) coming face to face with Jason Todd (Curran Walters) in DC Universe’s upcoming series Titans. Now today we have a new promo spot for the series that focuses on the awkward moment where Batman’s new Robin introduces himself to the old Robin. And in case you’re wondering why Grayson says “Fuck Batman” in the first trailer, maybe it’s because he found out that Jason Todd actually gets to drive the Batmobile, which is apparently something he never got to do. Enjoy the clip!

Rumor Has it That This is What the Superman Cameo in SHAZAM! Would Have Been
It doesn’t look like we’ll see Superman make an appearance in Shazam! like Warner Bros would have liked. However, we may know what that cameo would’ve been though. Umberto Gonzalez from The Wrap has reportedly explained the cameo thusly:
“Spoiler alert, for what it’s worth the Superman cameo in Shazam! was supposed to be Clark at the end of the movie meeting with Billy Batson, the kid who [turns into] Shazam, and telling him ‘Hey, we’re gonna keep an eye on you.’ That kind of thing.”
So, Superman would’ve been DC’s Nick Fury or Tony Stark. This sounds like a fun cameo to help tie Shazam into the Justice League some day. Would you have liked to see Supes show up in what looks like the most fun DC film?
Shazam! will hit theaters April 5, 2019.

Warner Bros. Has Reportedly Approached James Gunn About Directing a DC Film
Yesterday we learned that director James Gunn was negotiating his possible exit as the director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. It’s said his script will be used for the film and that there’s a chance he could come back to direct a future Marvel movie in the event they officially don’t bring him back to direct Vol. 3.
It’s also being reported that Gunn has been approached by several top producers and executives in Hollywood to write and direct a number of big film projects that the studios are looking to develop. They are excited to work with Gunn! One studio executive said:
“Most people feel his comments were coming out of his brand of comedy [at the time he made them]. Having an inappropriate sense of humor shouldn’t be a crime.”
One of the studios looking to hire Gunn is said to be Warner Bros. They would love to get him on board to direct one of their DC film properties! As of right now, though, Gunn is unable to entertain any offers until the “Disney matter is 100 percent resolved.”
It will certainly be interesting to see how this all plays out and what is store for Gunn’s future. But Marvel’s loss could be DC’s gain. Would you like to see Gunn direct a DC film? If so, which character or characters would you want to see him play with?

If not DGDX Animation seems to be holding it down for the time being, so check out the video and give them some love!
