Mark Ruffalo turns down idea of a Planet Hulk Film

ewhulkOver a year ago, a rumor began to circulate that Marvel Studios was planning a “Planet Hulk” feature film for Mark Ruffalo to star in. It was quickly debunked by director Joss Whedon as “nonsense,” but it just won’t go away. Now, MTV sat down with Ruffalo and asked him if that particular storyline could sustain a film, which he seemed eager to dismiss.

“‘Planet Hulk?’ I don’t think that’s the way to go yet,” he said. “I think you need more Banner. The whole thing is just him as Hulk, on a planet, fighting other gladiators.”

Ruffalo has said very recently that Marvel Studios is considering another solo film for the giant green rage monster, but there’s not even a “skeletal version” of what it could be. What would you like to see in a new Hulk solo film?

Mark Ruffalo and The Hulk can next be seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron, which will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.

what are your thoughts?  i know i was not  crazy about  planet hulk  i think there have been much better story lines to go with then that.    world war wulk  would be nice but  we will never see that!

Andy Serkis on STAR WARS: EPISODE VII Performance Capture!

http://static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/53b0d28fe4b0384cc89f70c9/1404097164444/andy-serkis-on-star-wars-episode-vii-performance-capture?format=750w

When we learned that Andy Serkis had been cast in Star Wars: Episode VII, many of us just assumed that he would be playing one of the many CGI characters that will be included in the movie. After all, he is the best and most well-known motion capture actor in the business. In a recent interview with Sci-Fi Now, Serkis confirmed that his company, The Imaginarium, will be doing all of the mo-cap work for the highly anticipated film. He then reveals that he will play a character in the story, but doesn’t confirm whether or not it will be a live action role or a digital character. Either way is cool with me. I’m sure no matter what he does it will be great. Here’s what he had to say in the interview:

“It’s extraordinary. I grew up with Star Wars and was a massive fan of the original films. I never imagined in a million years that I’d be engaging with this. It’s just come about so organically.

J.J. Abrams and I met, and we just had this incredible kind of vibe between us. He said, ‘You’d fit really well in this universe,’ and I said, ‘I think I probably could.’ We’re working very closely, as I say, in two ways: the Imaginarium is providing all of the performance characters, and I myself am playing a character in it.

“I’m thrilled, deeply excited. Sitting at that read-through the other day was just extraordinary. It was an amazing event; being with the original cast was just incredible. I just think the script is so wonderful, and both the old and the newbies in the cast are just so thrilled and excited to get together.”

This actor  normally  does  all the  captures for alot of big films  so its no surprise that they have used him for star wars as well!  what are your thoughts on this?

TERMINATOR: GENESIS Retitled Just TERMINATOR

http://static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/53b18acae4b0dcbabf4b1fc7/1404144335443/terminator-genesis-retitled-just-terminator?format=750w

According to Bleeding Cool a couple of different sources have confirmed that director Alan Taylor‘s new Terminator movie will not be called Terminator: Genesis as previously announced.

According to the report, “various bits of licensing, merchandise and toys that will tie into the next Terminator film are being branded as just Terminator tie-ins. No The, No Genesis.”

So it looks like the film’s final title is going to simply be Terminator. I was never a big fan of the whole “Genesis” subtitle in the first place, so I’m ok with this. It makes a lot more sense to me to keep it simple and clean.

The film is shooting right now, and it’s set to be released in theaters on July 1st, 2015. Hopefully Paramount Pictures brings some footage to San Diego Comic-Con for fans to enjoy!

Henry Cavill happened to be in his full Clark Kent costume in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice when he posed for this photo for the The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund. This is an organization in the UK that was set up for people serving in the Royal Marines, retired members, and their families. They posted the photo on their Twitter feed this morning.

what are your thoughts on bringing cavill to play superman again?  was he the  right  choice?

Bruce Campbell Wants to Make a Horror EXPENDABLES Movie!

https://i1.wp.com/static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/53af962ae4b093af3e18290d/1404016179089/Screen%20Shot%202014-06-29%20at%2012.29.07%20AM.png?resize=443%2C252

Bruce Campbell is the freakin’ man. He’s a great, funny guy who is also crazy talented. Let’s face it, big stars like George Clooney only wish they could be as badass as Bruce Campbell. If the actor has his way, there’s a chance that one day he will make an Expendables style horror movies.

I had never seen this interview before, but During an interview with The Hero Complex 4 years ago Campbell was asked about a couple of films he’d like to make, such as a sequel to My Name Is Bruce called Bruce vs. Frankenstein and The Expendables of horror movies. In his reply he explained us what he’d like to see happen with these:

The Hero Complex via Latino-Review:
(Sept. 01, 2010)

“Yeah, ‘The Expendables,’ or more like the ‘It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World’ of horror. I want to get so many horror movie stars that people can’t possibly not see the movie. I want to give them other stuff to do. I want to have Kane Hodder be very particular about what he eats. I want Robert Englund to be a tough guy, like he knows tae kwon do or something. I want to find out the hidden sides of all these people. Some will play themselves, some will play alternate characters as well. I may approach Kane Hodder to play Frankenstein. He could be Kane Hodder himself fighting himself as Frankenstein. It could be crazy. It’s a silly concocted story that we hope to do maybe in a year or so. My breaks between ‘Burn Notice’ have been getting tighter because they’ve been adding episodes. They’re trying to trap me like a rat in the TV world, and I might just let them. There’s a script, it just kind of blows right now, so no one’s really seeing it. We gotta work on it. Definitely shoot in Oregon all on a stage. It’s like the ‘300’ of horror comedies. We want to make it a whole world. Someone’s gotta take Frank down for good.”

Sounds pretty good  but  did these  kind of  concept  kind of happen already? we had  other movies  where we  bring monsters together to fight!  What do you think?

Bryan Singer Teases the X-Men: Apocalypse Script

We’re still almost two years away from the release of X-Men: Apocalypse on May 27, 2016, but today director Bryan Singer has posted the below tease of the script by Singer, Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris.

As you can see, what we’re looking at is a prologue battle set at the Nile and involving the Four Horsemen, who were also seen in the end credits scene of X-Men: Days of Future Past along with En Sabah Nur (Apocalypse).

The Avengers are Coming to San Diego Comic-Con!

http://static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/53ac8286e4b0dcbdb88a7ebb/1403814573848/?format=750w

I know it seems like a given that the Avengers would have a presence at San Diego Comic-Con to promote Age of Ultron. But you have to remember that the whole cast will be in London shooting the film while Comic-Con is happening, so there was a chance that they all wouldn’t be able to make it. Mark Ruffalo has some great news for the fans though! He recently confirmed in an interview with Collider that they will all be coming to Comic-Con! When asked about it, this is what he said:

“Yeah, we’re gonna go out there.  We’re all flying, we’re flying from London.  We’re working.  We’re shooting.  We’re gonna stop and get on a plane and go to Comic Con together. It’s gonna be amazing.”

It is going to be amazing, and you know damn well that they are going to show off the first footage from the film at the convention! I imagine that Paul Bettany (Vision), James Spader (Ultron), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver) will all join the usual suspects on the stage this year. I’ve also been hearing that Marvel will make some official announcements regarding other aspects of Phase 3. Ant-Man? Doctor Strange? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

This is truly an event that you’re not going to want to miss, and if you do miss it, it’s ok… we got your back and we’ll tell you all about it.

In the same interview, Ruffalo also discussed the standalone Hulk film we are all impatiently waiting for, and the technology being used to bring the character to life. He says he’d like to see it progress a little further before they tackle a new Hulk movie.

“We’re a little bit behind on the motion capture technology as far as facial recognition in real time.  Now we have, when I put on my motion capture suit, I look in front of me and there’s me as The Hulk.  There’s The Hulk.  Every move I make, The Hulk’s making it and so you have this immediate feedback like almost looking in a mirror, but instead of seeing myself, I see The Hulk …  But they haven’t come up to speed on the facial recognition that way.  They can capture the facial – the new technology is we can shoot the body recognition and the facial recognition at the same time, so now you can integrate performance, physical performance with the actual face and voice, but by the time we’re ready to probably – if we do another Hulk – that technology will be in real time and once that happens, there’d be no limit to what you can do creatively as far as your physical being is concerned.  I can play a freakin’ parasite in the ass of a worm [laughs].

“It’s so exciting.  There’s no limit to where we can go.  I hope to be a pioneer in this space with Andy Serkis.  I worked a lot with him on this.  I’m very excited by what he’s doing.  We are retraining the studio to see this as integral a part as the first unit.  This is not second or third unit or motion capture unit.  This is first unit.  This is performance.  It’s completely driven by the actor and it has to be honored as much as anything else, so that’s kind of where we’re heading with this technology and it’s very exciting.”

What are your thoughts we  always want to know whats on your mind  when it  comes to things like this!

Life After beth comedy movie trailer

http://static.squarespace.com/static/51b3dc8ee4b051b96ceb10de/t/53ac685ce4b023fddb17f558/1403807837975/trailer-fo-the-zombie-comedy-life-after-beth-with-aubrey-plaza?format=500w

This is the first trailer trailer for the zombie rom com Life After Beth, which stars Aubrey Plaza and Dane DeHaan. I had a chance to see the movie at Sundance earlier this year, and it’s very entertaining and definitely worth watching.

The story follows Zack (DeHaan), whose girlfriend Beth dies and comes back to life. Zack uses the opportunity as a second chance to show her how much he loves and wants her. She seems fine at first, but slowly starts to rot and turn into a zombie. While this is all happening, Zack is still trying to work things out and keep it together.

It’s a really fun and clever concept that was executed perfectly. The movie also stars Anna Kendrick, John C. Reilly, Molly Shannon, and Cheryl Hines.  Here’s a more detailed synopsis:

Zach is devastated by the unexpected death of his girlfriend, Beth. When she miraculously comes back to life, Zach takes full advantage of the opportunity to experience all the things he regretted not doing when she was alive. However, the newly returned Beth isn’t quite the way he remembered her, and before long, Zach’s world takes a turn for the worse.

Imitating what Dr. Frankenstein did with his monster, writer/director Jeff Baena assembles disparate parts of his film into a new whole and jolts fresh life into it. By fusing elements of a young love story and a zombie movie, he concocts a wickedly funny and shockingly poignant film. With its killer soundtrack and all-star cast, including Aubrey Plaza, whose distinctive delivery has never been used to greater effect, and Dane DeHaan, who perfectly embodies the suffering of a young man with a broken heart and a rotting girlfriend, Life After Beth will leave you dying to see it again.

Looks like a fun entertaining movie  check out the trailer and  let us know what you think.  it  comes out on August 15th!

Star Trek 3 Will Return To The Franchise’s Roots, Head To Deep Space

Star Trek 3 Will Return To The Franchise's Roots, Head To Deep Space imageAsk any screenwriter and director currently involved in a young franchise and they’ll say the same thing. We haven’t met the characters yet. We haven’t established the universe. Baby steps, etc. It gets a little frustrating because for once you’d like to see one movie without being pressured into seeing another. The new Star Trek seems pretty well-developed, however, so it’s a little unusual to see Star Trek 3 director Roberto Orci reveal that there’s much to learn about this crew’s final frontier.

During a podcast with Humans From Earth, Roberto Orci claims that for the next entry in the Star Trek saga, they’ll be going where no man has gone before (spoiler: space).

In [Into Darkness] they set out finally where the original series started. The first two films – especially the 2009 [Star Trek] – was an origin story. It was about them coming together. So they weren’t the characters they were in the original series. They were growing into them and that continues on in the second movie. So in this movie they are closer than they are to the original series characters that you have ever seen. They have set off on their five-year mission. So their adventure is going to be in deep space.

It’s hard to underestimate the disappointment in diehards familiar with the series when they saw the first trailers for Star Trek Into Darkness. What was this business about the Enterprise crashing into skyscrapers? What was this cityscape business? Where’s the space we were promised after Star Trek? Benedict Cumberbatch doesn’t look like any alien I know! It continued during the film, where locating Cumberbatch’s “John Harrison” (whatever) meant starting some sort of intergalactic war, the sort of intergalactic war that just fades away and is never discussed again.

The original crew of the Enterprise was meant to embark upon a “five year mission” into space, but so far, we still have Captain Kirk, fratty, inexplicably-unkillable Earth-bound jerk. Orci’s promise is to shoot the series into the stars and explore new worlds. That’s the sort of thing fans of the original series actually want to see, but because of how the earlier movies turned out, I’m not sure those diehard fans will trust this director to do that properly. The bean counters over at Paramount, who have to be concerned that Star Trek Into Darkness was a big hit overseas but grossed less than its predecessor domestically, probably aren’t pleased with the idea of nerding out either.

Can Roberto Orci boldly go where no man has gone before? Or are we getting the same stuff all over again? And is “deep space” too ambitious an angle for a first-time director, specifically one who has only worked on the writing side in a duo with Alex Kurtzman (off at Sony doing Spider-Man things)? We’ll see soon, as Star Trek 3 shoots for a 2016 release date.
