I thought it was very strange that Alcon Entertainment set Blade Runner 2 to open in January of 2018, since January is typically a dumping ground for awful movies. But now that concern has slipped away like tears in rain, because Variety reports that the film has now upgraded to the earlier release date of October 6, 2017 instead of January 12, 2018.
