First Marvel's Inhumans Photo Reveals the Royal Family

Marvel Entertainment and ABC have officially released the first Marvel’s Inhumans photo at EW, and you can check it out in the gallery below! In addition, executive producer Scott Buck revealed some details, including: When the story begins, Attilan (the home of the Inhumans) will not actually be on Earth; Ellen Woglom’s character is a new one and not from the comics; and lead character Black Bolt will primarily communicate in sign language in the series.

“Black Bolt is a very difficult character I would think for Anson, but for any actor to play,” Buck tells the outlet. “But Anson is tackling it in a hugely fantastic way. It’s a little bit difficult to write him, because Black Bolt does not speak, but yet he is our hero and he is the center of the show, so it does certainly present challenges in how you tell his story, but fortunately we came up with a really good story. Anson is terrific. I think everyone’s going to be very pleased and excited by his Black Bolt. We’re not doing voice over. If you read the comics, you see Black Bolt does find a way to communicate to people, but he’s also a very enigmatic character as well, and he keeps a lot inside. That’s part of what’s so fascinating about him is that a lot of times, we don’t know what he’s thinking.

Getting the Inhumans onto our screens has been a very interesting development process. What began as a film due to be released in 2019 as part of the MCU’s Phase Three is now a TV show on ABC with its first two episodes expected to have a theatrical release in IMAX theaters this year. Earlier in February, it was announced that Iwan Rheon had been cast as the treacherous Maximus The Mad, Black Bolt’s brother. Marvel’s Inhumans No Longer Has A Release Date

InhumansIt might be awhile before we see the Inhumans join the Marvel cinematic universe.

The film was previously slated for July 12th, 2019, but according to the Wall Street Journal’s Ben Fritz, the film has been undated, and now does not have a release date. This is not the first time the film has been moved, as the film was originally slated for November 2nd, 2018. After one bumping, the announcement of Indiana Jones 5’s release date occurring a mere week after Inhumans caused many to fear it would get bumped yet again. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige alluded to as much during a Captain America: Civil War press junket, and it turned out to be true.

This could be just some restructuring, or it could be due to more Spider-Man films making their way into the line-up. Either way, this project was probably the least anticipated of Marvel’s upcoming crop of films. While the Inhumans have made their presence felt on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, they haven’t made the same impact in the films.

Here’s an interesting rumor regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Rich Johnston at Bleeding Cool is reporting that that he overheard “well connected sources” in bars late at night after New York Comic Con saying that Marvel Studios plans to move the Inhumans movie completely off their release slate. Clark Gregg Talks Launching Inhumans in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Last year, Marvel Studios confirmed that the long in-development Inhumans film would be hitting theaters in November of 2018, and president Kevin Feige teased we might be seeing something about that sooner rather than later. Not long after the announcement came the episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” that introduced not only Terragenesis, the process that gives Inhumans their powers, but our first official Inhuman from the source material, Daisy Johnson, AKA Chloe Bennet’s Skye.

Speaking with CBR, series star Clark Gregg opened up about the Inhumans being introduced in the series and what that means for the forthcoming episodes.

“Inhumans represents a different chapter…At least in the comics, the Inhumans, they’re a race of people who’ve been transformed. They’re mutants, more or less. I’ve always loved that part of the comics. They’re people who have evolved differently, and that generates a lot of fear. Some people want to annihilate them. Some people want to lock them up. Some people want to register them. Some of them become superheroes. Some of them become monsters. I find that particularly germane. Are we going to accept the people who are different, or are we going to try to wipe them out?

“I think the first thing we’re going to deal with when we come back is (Coulson) led everyone to this place with the writings. He found this submerged, several-thousand-year-old alien city. It turned out to be like an incubating factory that turned his own most beloved protégée — his surrogate daughter — into something else and got one of his team members killed. That’s not going to be easy on his new team, which has some people who he knows and trusts and some people who are much newer to him.

Gregg went on to express his excitement with having the Inhumans on the series and reveals that it won’t put any creative clamps on the series.

“I’m excited by it. I think the Inhumans is a big, cool part of the Marvel universe, a great story. And we’ll set up something. We’ll get to explore it. I’m glad they’re entrusting us with it, and I think that they’ll take what they’re going to do with it, and it will connect. And yet, we’ll have the freedom to kind of make our show be our show.”

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is set to return this March, while Inhumans will debut in theaters on November 2, 2018.

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are InhumansAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has seen the airing of its mid-season finale – and it went out with a bang! There were Easter-Eggs all over the place, but the most important one was that the character Skye from the series is indeed the character Daisy Johnson (or Quake) from the comic books. And this, in turn, revealed something even more extraordinary – that the Inhumans have already appeared, way before they will be seen on the silver screen (in 2018).A secret society, the Inhumans are a result of genetic experiments conducted by the Kree on the first humans. The aliens made those experiments since they were not evolving any longer and since they saw the potential the humans represented.
