14 Things You Need To Know About Flashpoint (and The Flash Season 3)

“The Flash” season two wrapped up with an epic finale – and one of Barry Allen’s worst decisions yet. The scarlet speedster headed back in time to the night his mother was killed (again), but this time, he saved her life. It’s a huge decision that undid pretty much everything Barry has done over the past two seasons – coming to terms with his mother’s death, discovering how time travel can affect the present, and making an earlier decision not to save her, in order to become the Flash.

As well as being a game-changer, the finale had fans everywhere talking about what Season Three would bring – namely, Flashpoint! While it’s possible that the show will Continue reading

This List is brought to you by the Number Six

Six

Out of all of the single digits, the number “6” gets the least love. (Yes, even if you include the zero “0.”) Not only that, the number six gets the least amount of respect. It is associated with “The Devil” and is the number of “The Beast” because… reasons?? It is the least distinguishable amongst the single digits. As a composite number, it loses the appeal that the “prime” numbers 2,3,5, and 7 have. It is not a square number like 4 and 9. Star Wars Lightsaber, top listing

Kinostarts - ´Star Wars: Episode I - Die dunkle Bedrohungª

Star Wars did not invent the concept of a magic blade, or even a laser sword — those pop up in Asimov’s Lucky Starr series, among others — but as with many of the series’ pulp influences, George Lucas refined and reduced them to their essential elements, creating the series’ ultimate addition to the pop-culture canon. Think of the otherworldly glow, the distinctive hum, the (illogical, but who cares?) weight of the blade. For the Jedi, a lightsaber is a symbol of their innate exceptionalism; for Luke, it’s a connection to his father; for the Sith, it’s one more way to assert their dominance over the weak. But of all the lightsabers we’ve seen in Star Wars so far, which one is the best? To answer that question requires an elegant listicle, for a civilized age. Cue up “Duel of the Fates,” and meet us below the jump. Continue reading
