David Hasselhoff Reveals His Crazy Idea for a Knight Rider Revival Series

A few months ago, a teaser trailer of sorts appeared online for a Knight Rider project called Knight Rider Heroes. We know something is brewing, we just don’t exactly know what it is. One thing is for sure, David Hasselhoff wants a revival series, and he talks about what he’d like to see happen during an interview with Variety. Continue reading

This is the Headline for Garry Shandling’s Obituary

Garry Shandling, the comedian whose TV shows “The Larry Sanders Show” and “It’s Garry Shandling’s Show” parodied talk shows and sitcoms with reflexive, absurdist comedy, has died. He was 66.

Marvel TV Developing Captain Britain Series?

marvel captain britain Marvel TV Developing Captain Britain Series?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s movie and television branches alike are in the midst of some serious expansion. In addition to the slate of Phase 3 films and new TV series in development like “Luke Cage” and “Marvel’s Most Wanted”, Marvel continues to mine its vast character stores for interesting new series. One of the challenges of bringing Marvel-branded entertainment to television, though, is finding characters who will appeal to TV audiences without being major properties – since most of their big names like Thor and Iron Man are already engaged in the MCU.

Enter smaller yet popular properties like the Inhumans (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”) and the Defenders (“Daredevil” and “Jessica Jones”). Even their upcoming sitcom “Damage Control” could contain cameos from existing characters and introduce second- and third-stringers to the otherwise powerless superhero cleanup crew. As we’ve already seen a number of smaller run Marvel characters on TV, the possibility of Brian Braddock’s Captain Britain doesn’t sound entirely far-fetched. Continue reading

Director Shane Black Hypes ‘The Predator’ As An Expensive “Spectacle”!

PREDATOR 2 via Fox

After the 1990 film Predator 2, Twentieth Century Fox lost focus on both their Predator and Alien franchises, releasing the underwhelming Alien vs. Predator, it’s even cheaper R-rated sequel, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, and then the Robert Rodriguez-produced reboot/sequel Predators.

Thanks to Marvel and their cinematic universe, every studio executive is shifting focus. There’s all sorts of eventized franchises afoot, whether it’s X-Men, Planet of the Apes or Ridley Scott’s new Alien trilogy.

Fox was quick to adapt, being one of the first studios to start spending money on respectable reboots. And while some failed (Fantastic Four), others have flourished. Prometheus, for example, has opened up the door for a mega-sized Predator follow-up, which is being directed by Shane Black. Continue reading

Two Iconic Villains That Almost Made It into BATMAN V SUPERMAN

Like most movies, a lot of that stuff never made it into the final cut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. For example, in a recent interview with Collider, Zack Snyder revealed that The Joker and The Riddler almost made it into the film. This is what he said about that: Continue reading

Disney Has Reacquired Rights For The Black Cauldron. Will they get it right the Second Time?

Variety says Disney has reacquired the rights to The Chronicles of Prydain, which were the original books by Lloyd Alexander that The Black Cauldron was a part of. Another little fun fact about this film: it was the first Disney movie to feature computer animation! Now, in what seems like either a massive act of hubris, or one of potential adaptational atonement, Disney has an eye on developing a new feature based on the author’s high fantasy world of noble swineherds, oracular pigs, and references to Welsh mythology.  Continue reading
