Wreck-It Ralph is heading back to the big screen, and this time, he’s wrecking the internet. The Oscar-nominated Walt Disney Animation Studios team from the original film is reteaming for the follow-up Wreck-It Ralph 2, including director Rich Moore (Zootopia, “The Simpsons”) and producer Clark Spencer (Zootopia, Bolt). Phil Johnston (writer, Wreck-It Ralph, Zootopia, Cedar Rapids) joins Moore as director and a writer on the project. John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman return as the bad-guy-turned-good, Ralph, and the girl with the game-winning glitch, Vanellope von Schweetz.

Disney Has Reacquired Rights For The Black Cauldron. Will they get it right the Second Time?
Variety says Disney has reacquired the rights to The Chronicles of Prydain, which were the original books by Lloyd Alexander that The Black Cauldron was a part of. Another little fun fact about this film: it was the first Disney movie to feature computer animation! Now, in what seems like either a massive act of hubris, or one of potential adaptational atonement, Disney has an eye on developing a new feature based on the author’s high fantasy world of noble swineherds, oracular pigs, and references to Welsh mythology. BIG HERO 6 Is Continuing as a TV Series on Disney XD
For those hoping that Walt Disney Animation Studios would produce a sequel for Big Hero 6 (Big Hero 7?), the studio that has announced that it will be continuing the story of the Academy Award winning film in a TV series that will be coming to Disney XD. The show is currently in production and it is set to debut sometime in 2017. Continue reading
