Pictures and director James Wan (Furious 7, The Conjuring) will begin rolling cameras on Aquaman later this month, and actress Amber Heard (Magic Mike XXL, The Danish Girl) has released a video of herself training with the 87Eleven stunt team (John Wick, Captain America: Civil War) to kick a lot of butt as Mera in the film. Early this year, a rumor popped up that actress Amber Heard would be playing the role of Mera in Warner Bros. and DC’s cinematic universe. In the comics, Mera is a badass warrior who becomes Aquaman’s wife. The rumor indicated that Mera would first appear in Justice League — Part 1 before playing the female lead in the Aquaman solo film.
