Will IDW answer why “Command” starts with a “K” in M.A.S.K. comic reboot?
The 1980s cartoon “M.A.S.K.” was one of many action series, and it could make for a hell of an awesome film. With the right script and director, (think George Miller) it could be at the same caliber of greatness as Mad Max: Fury Road. If you hope that Paramount Pictures and the creative team they’ve gathered to develop the film will do the series justice, then you will have another Jem and the Holograms at your hands. If you want this to be somewhat decent, on the other hand… that’s another story.
Before that movie comes out, though, fans will be treated to a comic book reboot from writer Brandon Easton and artist Tony Vargas. The comic is being published by IDW, and according to USA Today, they will be giving it a Fast and Furious spin. Continue reading

Leonardo DiCaprio & J.J. Abrams May Team for ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’
Just weeks after his first Oscar win for The Revenant, Leonardo DiCaprio is teaming up with J.J. Abrams and screenwriter Eric Roth, with the trio eyeing an adaptation of Killers of the Flower Moon for Paramount. The Wrap reports that the producers are currently in the midst of a bidding war for the rights to this non-fiction book by David Grann. Their current bid is at $2 million, and while there are other higher offers on the table, including one from Sony with George Clooney directing and Amy Pascal producing, Paramount is considered the front runner, although the deal hasn’t closed yet. Death Wish Remake Is Back on with Bruce Willis
After languishing in development for several years, Paramount and MGM’s long-awaited Death Wish remake is finally moving forward. Deadline reports that Bruce Willis has signed on to star, with Israeli filmmakers Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado (Big Bad Wolves) coming aboard to direct. Paramount and MGM will distribute the remake, which hopes to get production started this summer. Continue reading
Next Three ‘Transformers’ Movies Get Release Dates
Paramount has dated its next three Transformers sequels, and they will come in quick succession beginning in 2017.
Transformers 5 will open on June 23, 2017, while Transformers 6 will come a year later on June 8, 2018. And Transformers 7 is slotted for June 28, 2019.
The first four Transformers movies, which launched in 2007, have earned $3.8 billion at the box office worldwide. Continue reading
