Olivia Munn Explains Why She Turned Down Deadpool

Hollywood is full of stories of the movie casts that could have been. Molly Ringwald could have been the star of Pretty Woman. Ferris Buller could have been played by Johnny Depp. Often, these “almost roles” are lamented as missed opportunities. But for Olivia Munn, not appearing opposite Ryan Reynolds in this year’s hit film Deadpool was a conscious decision about the kind of roles she wants to take on.

X-Men: Apocalypse Final Trailer..Oh and Wolverine!

Here is the final trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse that will be released on May 27th theaters. The only problem I have with the trailers so far is that it looks like Mystique is running the  movie, and it’s driven by her. This might be the only thing I don’t like of the direction of the  film. But I could be wrong. We shall see. Oh by the way, the best kept secret has just been released… Continue reading

It looks like there’s a chance that another fan-favorite X-Men character will be joining Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Professor X (Patrick Stewart) on their adventure in Wolverine 3. Continue reading

Co-Writer/Director Josh Boone Shows Off Script for New Mutants

‘New Mutants’ Second Draft Script Is Finished

Deadpool did a sly job of helping set up the X-Men spinoff New Mutants. It introduced Negasonic Teenage Warhead as part of the team, and gave us a look at their uniforms without ever mentioning the Marvel outfit by name. While we don’t know when The New Mutants movie is coming, it is definitely in the works at 20th Century Fox. Co-writer and director Josh Boone showed off the cover page to the script. Will Wolverine Make an Appearance in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE?

Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine has appeared in every single X-Men movie since the franchise started. We’ve been hearing that he won’t be appearing in X-Men: Apocalypse, though, but that could just be something everyone is saying to surprise fans.

During an interview with Empire, director Bryan Singer was asked about Wolverine, and if he had a part to play in the story. This is what he said: Continue reading

Top 10 Mutants!

TOP10top_10_mutants In the Mutant Universe, there is a clearly defined scale accounting for the power level of the various superheroes, villains, robots, mutants and aliens that bum around, because of course there is. We geeks need something tangible to hang our terrible arguments about “who would win in a fight” on, which is exactly what this scale does. At the lower end of the spectrum you have the everyday shmoes – the comic book equivalent of us civilians – and at the very top of the scale is where you’ll find the so-called “Omega level” superpeople.

They are characters who were born with the X-gene and have had an almost limitless amount of power at their fingertips as soon as they left the womb (or even before, in some cases). So with that said lets start off our list!  See if any of our top 10 hit your list! Continue reading

Simon Kinberg Says X-FORCE Movie Could Be Rated R

In the wake of Deadpool‘s massive box office success, it shouldn’t be too long until we hear about an X-Force movie officially getting the green light and moving into production at 20th Century Fox. Kick-Ass 2 director Jeff Wadlow wrote a script a couple of years ago, and was supposed to be directing the live-action feature, but that never ended up happening. But Ryan Reynolds has spoken about X-Force as “a priority,” and considering how much money Deadpool made this past weekend, I’d guess Fox will push that plan through fairly quickly. Continue reading

Evan Peters on ‘Bigger’ X-Men: Apocalypse Quicksilver Scene

Quicksilver Apocalypse scene bigger Evan Peters on Bigger X Men: Apocalypse Quicksilver Scene

Many moviegoers ridiculed the look of Evan Peter’s Quicksilver heading into last year’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, but the speedster mutant ended up having the last laugh. One of the most memorable moments in Bryan Singer’s film was a jaw-dropping slow-motion sequence showcasing Quicksilver’s powers, as he foiled Pentagon guards’ attempt to capture Wolverine, Charles Xavier, and Magneto.

Quicksilver was a scene stealer, but his time on-screen was very brief. Needless to say, fans are eagerly awaiting his return in next summer’s X-Men: Apocalypse, where Quicksilver will be on a personal mission to find his father and gets “sucked up into this whole Apocalypse madness.” Those hoping he gets another action scene won’t be disappointed, since an even larger one is in the cards.
