In the Mutant Universe, there is a clearly defined scale accounting for the power level of the various superheroes, villains, robots, mutants and aliens that bum around, because of course there is. We geeks need something tangible to hang our terrible arguments about “who would win in a fight” on, which is exactly what this scale does. At the lower end of the spectrum you have the everyday shmoes – the comic book equivalent of us civilians – and at the very top of the scale is where you’ll find the so-called “Omega level” superpeople.

This week on “Versus” – The regular guy vigilante death match! In one corner, we have David lizeski, who is known as Kick-Ass. And in the other corner, we have Casey Jones from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We thought it would be a great match-up for these 2 characters to go against one another. Both have some decent hand-to-hand combat skills. Both have no super powers. And both like to use weapons. If you have to put the 2 of them into a ring with various weapons, or even no weapons at all, who would you think would be the last one standing? Deadline brings word that Brittany Ishibashi (“Emily Owens M.D.,” “Political Animals”) is set to take on the role of Karai for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. Briefly played by Minae Noji in the 2014 film, the character is one of the leaders of the legendary Foot Clan in the source material and in the original comics outranked the Shredder. In other versions of the series, the character is the adoptive daughter of the turtles’ sworn enemy; however, she sometimes served as an ally for the heroes.
Megan Fox and Will Arnett lead the cast for the film that also includes William Fichtner as Eric Sacks and newcomers Tyler Perry as scientist Baxter Stockman, Brian Tee as the new Shredder, Stephen Amell as the sports-themed vigilante Casey Jones, and Gary Anthony Williams as the humanoid warthog, Bebop. Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, and Noel Fisher will reprise their roles as Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo (Johnny Knoxville did the voice), and Michelangelo.
The original film, which grossed more than $485 million at the worldwide box office, also starred Danny Woodburn and Tony Shalhoub.
Set to be directed by Earth to Echo‘s David Green, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is set for release on June 3, 2016.
Producer Michael Bay released three images from the set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 on his website, and they show off the vehicles that we will see in the movie. The vehicles you see here include a garbage truck that has been transformed into an urban assault party wagon vehicle for the Ninja Turtles as well as a Polaris Slingshot.
