BLUE THUNDER Is going to get the Remake Treatment
Columbia Pictures is set to develop a remake of the 1983 action thriller Blue Thunder. The original movie focused on a high-tech experimental helicopter and a police pilot who learns of the sinister implications of the vehicle. It was configured for law enforcement to use in combat against possible large-scale civil disobedience during the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.The script for the film is being written by Craig Kyle, who is an ex-Marvel Studios executive currently scripting Thor: Ragnarok. Jack Huston Confirmed as Lead in THE CROW
A couple of weeks ago, we learned that Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire) was in talks to join the new feature film adaptation of The Crow. A lot of fans are still unhappy with the fact that this movie is still being made, which I think is interesting. Especially since the creator of the comic, James O’Barr is directly involved with bringing the film to life, and that the film will be a direct adaptation of the original comic. New FLASH GORDON Movie Might be a Sequel to the 1980 Film
Last year it was reported Star Trek 3 writers JD Payne and Patrick McKay were hired to write a script for a Flash Gordon reboot that 20th Century Fox is developing. I think that this is an awesome franchise that is actually ripe for a reboot, but apparently the plan is to develop it as a sequel to the 35-year-old film, which just seems weird. But Disney did it with Tron, so maybe it could work.

Ryan Reynolds Says DEADPOOL Will Appease Critical Fanboys
It’s been months since a Deadpool movie was officially confirmed by 20th Century Fox, but I’m still having trouble believing that it’s actually moving forward. This is one of those projects, like a new Ghostbusters movie, that has been talked about endlessly for years and years, and now both of them are finally happening (and more, in Ghostbusters’ case). Creator Robert Kirkman revealed more details about “The Walking Dead” companion series today at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
