DC Comics Announces: Justice League Vs. Suicide Squad

It’s not just Marvel getting in on the ‘superteams duking it out’ stuff lately—DC is joining in on the fun with a newly announced event that is setting two of their current most popular teams, the Justice League and the Suicide Squad, at each other’s throats.

Revealed through Wall Street Journal, the event series—written by Joshua Williamson, with art from Jason Fabok—will see Batman decide once and for all that Waller’s Task Force X must be shut down permanently (presumably President Obama agrees with him?), calling in his Justice League allies to bring them in. Task Force X Goes to Work in New Suicide Squad Set Videos and Photos

As production continues on Warner Bros. Pictures’ next DC Comics film, director David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, a surprising addition to the cast has been spotted on the set of the film: the brand-new Batmobile as seen in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Tom Hardy Explains Why He Left SUICIDE SQUAD

David Ayer’s Suicide Squad is getting some serious press these days, and I continue to believe that there’s more excitement about this than there is about Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Suicide Squad sounds like it could be excellent, and it certainly has a solid cast attached to it. But there was a time during which that cast was even better, and that’s when Tom Hardy was attached to play Rick Flagg. The actor had to drop out of the project before filming began, and there were some rumors at the time that his reason for leaving was that he wasn’t happy with the script.
