We got to see paparazzi photos of Hugh Jackman out shopping with his wife. The interesting thing about these images is that they showed the actor sporting his new look for Wolverine 3. And he’s definitely a little gray around the edges. This has only helped fuel speculation that the actor is portraying Old Man Logan, a take on the iconic Marvel Mutant that spans multiple comic book issues. It was previously rumored that X-23 might join Logan in director James Mangold’s Wolverine 3. With Hugh Jackman hanging up his claws after this movie, it would make sense to see a Wolverine replacement, and if that happened, Marvel’s new female Wolverine, Laura Kinney, who was previously known as X-23, would be the perfect choice.

Fox’s Gambit film project hasn’t had a smooth road since it was first announced. At one point Channing Tatum was looking to drop out of the project, then director Rupert Wyatt bailed on the projectm, and was quickly replaced by Doug Liman, and then recently the film was pulled from Fox’s release schedule. The movie is still moving forward, though.

Shane Black says the Predator costume design will get an upgrade for the new film.
Director Shane Black (Iron Man 3, Lethal Weapon) and his The Monster Squad co-writer Fred Dekker have been working on an “inventive sequel” to 20th Century Fox’s Predator since 2014, turning in the script late last year and revealing a teaser image in February. Now Black is on the campaign trail for his brilliant new detective movie, The Nice Guys, and we got to ask him if he plans to change Stan Winston‘s iconic Predator costume design for his film, now titled The Predator. Here’s a small update about the future of the X-Men movie franchise. During the press junket for X-Men: Apocalypse, writer/producer Simon Kinberg told Collider that a familiar name is going to show up in Josh Boone’s New Mutants movie:
“Right now, as the movie exists, Professor X would be a part of a New Mutants movie.”
On May 27th, the X-Men are heading to the ’80s in X-Men: Apocalypse. And while the next film in the mutant series isn’t currently on 20th Century Fox’s release schedule, we now know when that movie will take place! By when, we mean we can give or take plus-or-minus 10 years. Continue reading
When Ridley Scott decided to make the Prometheus sequel Alien: Covenant his next movie, that put Neill Blomkamp’s Alien 5 in a holding pattern. Blomkamp’s movie is set after the events of James Cameron’s Aliens and reportedly ignores the other sequels in the franchise, and Scott wanted to take a crack at making another bridge movie between Prometheus and the first Alien before someone else came in and told another story that takes place further down the timeline.
Sigourney Weaver, who will be working with Blomkamp on Alien 5, has given a little update about the movie (via Aggressive Comix) and she says it’ll be “worth the wait.” Continue reading
Deadpool did a sly job of helping set up the X-Men spinoff New Mutants. It introduced Negasonic Teenage Warhead as part of the team, and gave us a look at their uniforms without ever mentioning the Marvel outfit by name. While we don’t know when The New Mutants movie is coming, it is definitely in the works at 20th Century Fox. Co-writer and director Josh Boone showed off the cover page to the script. With production slated to begin sometime this year, the cast of 20th Century Fox’s Kingsman 2 is starting to come together. Last month, it was reported that Julianne Moore has signed on to play the villain, with Taron Egerton returning as Eggsy from Kingsman: The Secret Service. Now, Deadline has reported that Halle Berry is in talks to star as the head of the CIA. Continue reading
20th Century Fox issued a slew of new release dates for upcoming projects, including their highly-anticipated Predator sequel, which will hit theaters March 2, 2018. Writer-director Shane Black has previously revealed that the script is finished, which he co-wrote with Fred Dekker, and that it will be a sequel, not a reboot as previously rumored. While no cast members are officially attached yet, original Predator star Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed in an interview with The Arnold Fans that he’s planning on meeting with Shane Black soon to discuss the project.
