Kevin Feige Discusses The Infinity Stones & Hints When We’ll See The Rest

The Infinity Stones have become the central point of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. These ancient items of power as old as the universe itself have been showing up for years, and will eventually be brought together, presumably by the mad Titan named Thanos. That purple-faced, crumpled-chinned monster, in the comics, gathers the Infinity Stones (or gems) together for one purpose: to end all life in the universe. Not good.

So far, we’ve seen four out of six of the stones, in the form of the Tesseract, the Aether, the Orb, and Loki’s Staff. That means there are two remaining, and Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios President, says we’ll be seeing them soon. Continue reading →

Kevin Feige Says Marvel Plans To Do Great Things With Spider-Man

If there’s a fan out there who thinks Marvel went through the trouble of negotiating shared custody of Spider-Man with Sony because they felt they could get something mediocre out of the character, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige assures you that the bar is set at least a little bit higher.

“Making that agreement … was great, and was really amazing, and on a personal level making these movies, it means a lot because I think we can do great things with Spider-Man,” Feige told IGN. “I think Spider-man can serve great purpose in our universe and that’s where he belongs. That was what was unique about him in the comics was not that he was the only superhero in the world; it’s that he was a totally different kind of superhero when compared against all the other ones in the Marvel universe at the time.”

You know what they say: “With great purpose, comes great profitability,”…wait, that’s not right…

Hugh Jackman Suggests Tom Hardy As The Next Wolverine

Hugh Jackman is preparing to play Logan one last time in his third standalone Wolverine movie. After that, we have no idea what to expect from 20th Century Fox when it comes to the character. There’s no way that the studio is going to give up on this cash cow, and we’re all expecting them to cast someone else in the role.

During an interview with MTV, Jackman is asked who he would like to see take over the role. After saying that a younger actor will most likely take over for him, he drops the name of Tom Hardy as a good fit for the role. That’s a suggestion that’s not hard to argue with. SINISTER SIX Movie Could Still Happen If Marvel Wants It To

When Marvel and Sony teamed up to reboot Spider-Man and introduce the superhero into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans were excited as hell! Of course, in the process some things were sacrificed like the Sinister Six movie that Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods) was developing. I was more excited about that project than anything else Sony was working on before Marvel came into the picture.

In a recent interview with io9, Goddard opened up about his original vision of the film, explaining that it would have been standalone Spider-Man movie set in the world of The Amazing Spider-Man, and it would have featured the return of Andrew Garfield as the web-slinger. Continue reading →

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE – New Leaked Image of Apocalypse Looks a lot Better

A couple of images from Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse have hit the internet. It looks like they come from a post-production editing bay being used to work on the movie, but they didn’t come from Singer. The were posted by an X-Men news Twitter feed.

One of the images offers us a much better look at Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse. He actually looks a lot more like the villain in this image, so that’s encouraging. Maybe those original photos we saw of the character weren’t the completed version of what we will see in the movie. Continue reading →

Punisher pictures from Daredevil Season 2

Daredevil Season 2 is currently in production, and today we have some photos from the set featuring Jon Bernthal as The Punisher roughing up a petty thug, or maybe a cop, who is obviously no match for him.

As you can see, Frank Castle isn’t sporting his classic look yet with the skull logo on his chest, but there’s no doubt that he will. I’m sure he won’t be drawing that kind of attention to himself everywhere he goes. I am looking forward to seeing what his battle costume does look like, though!

One thing is for sure: Benthal looks freakin’ badass in the role. That is the best casting decision they could have made! I would love to eventually see this character make his way to the big screen in the MCU. That goes for Daredevil too! Continue reading →

Deadpool footage is finally here, and it is looking awesome. But we’re not just here for the violence and the fourth-wall-breaking—we’re here to find out what secrets we can uncover from Fox’s new take on the merc with a mouth. “Everyone hates what they did to Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but nobody blames Ryan for it.” So says Tim Miller, director of Deadpool, in which almost uniquely, Ryan Reynolds has doggedly pursued the opportunity to revisit the character and do it right. All indications are that he and his team have absolutely nailed it this time. And with the trailer for the long-developed and much-rumoured Deadpool finally with us, we dragged Miller away from the editing suite long enough to talk us through it. (POTENTIAL SPOILERS ALERT!!!)
