Matt Reeves Decides He Doesn’t Want to Direct THE BATMAN

Last week news broke that Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves was in talks to replace Ben Affleck as the director of The Batman. It was expected that he would take the gig but in the end, he opted to drop out of the running.

The new comes from Variety, but there are no reasons given as to why he decided to not pursue it. The report just says that “talks have broken down” between the director and the studio and “negotiations have stopped”.

According to an inside source, WB is still intent on making the film by “whatever means necessary.” Continue reading →

WWE is saddened to learn that WWE Hall of Famer William James Myers, known to fans as George “The Animal” Steele, has passed away at the age of 79.

Steele was one of the wildest and most unpredictable Superstars in sports-entertainment history. Yet, despite his green tongue, hairy torso and insatiable appetite for turnbuckle pads, “The Animal” was a very well-educated man. Prior to breaking into sports-entertainment, Steele received his Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University and became a high school teacher and wrestling coach in the Detroit area. Disney and Lucasfilm announced Star Wars Force Friday II, a global fan event celebrating the launch of Star Wars: The Last Jedi products. Toys, collectibles, books, apparel, and more will go on sale beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017, with stores around the world opening for a weekend-long celebration of all things Star Wars. Anti-Venom Statue Developed and manufactured in partnership with Prime 1 Studio, we are proud to present Anti-Venom. Eddie Brock was debonded from the Venom symbiote, traces of it were left in his body. Later, suffering from cancer, Brock started working as a volunteer in the F.E.A.S.T. Center. Martin Li, the alter-ego of Mr. Negative, and founder of F.E.A.S.T. used his powers to cure Eddie’s cancer. In the process, he accidentally infused the remnants of the symbiote in Eddie’s bloodstream with his power and fused them to his white blood cells, creating a new hybrid symbiote which manifested when the Venom symbiote attempted to leave its then-current host and return to Eddie. This new symbiote had powerful healing powers and other powers that differ from the Venom symbiote, producing antibodies that can cure any known disease and remove any other impurities within a human body. Ben Affleck Reportedly Doesn’t Want to Play Batman Anymore

Image result for ben affleck batmanA month ago, while promoting his passion project Live by Night — which he directed, wrote, produced, and starred in — on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ben Affleck confirmed that he would be directing The Batman, his first standalone film as the Caped Crusader.

However, after Live by Night bombed at the box office — causing a $75 million loss for Warner Bros. — Affleck reportedly experienced a crisis of confidence, questioning whether or not he could simultaneously direct and star in a big-budget superhero movie. In the end, he chose to step down as director of The Batman, citing his desire to focus on the acting side of the role. And according to recent reports, Matt Reeves, the director behind Cloverfield (2008) and Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes (2014), will take the helm.

While many of us had hoped that would put an end to all the drama surrounding The Batman, John Campea is now claiming that three separate sources have told him over the past four days that Affleck no longer wants to be The Dark Knight in the DCEU. Continue reading →

Kevin Smith: no ‘Clerks’ and ‘Mallrats’ sequels, new ‘Jay and Silent Bob’ film

Kevin Smith is taking the View Askewniverse in a new direction.

In a lengthy Facebook post, the director of Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Mallrats revealed future plans for his film universe.
