Hot Toys Rey’s ‘Resistance Outfit’ Action Figure from THE FORCE AWAKENS

Hot Toys has released a bunch of photos showing off their new Rey action figure with the resistance outfit that she wore at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens when she traveled to Ahch-To to confront Luke Skywalker, get some answers, and begin her Jedi training. Disney and Lucasfilm announced Star Wars Force Friday II, a global fan event celebrating the launch of Star Wars: The Last Jedi products. Toys, collectibles, books, apparel, and more will go on sale beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017, with stores around the world opening for a weekend-long celebration of all things Star Wars. J.J. Abrams plays the Chewbacca Defense card – fans don’t buy it

Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens was met with almost universal praise upon its release, but it did not escape spurring some controversy among viewers. One scene that left a lot of fans scratching their heads was when the Millennium Falcon returned to the Resistance Base at the end of the film. Those paying attention will notice that Chewbacca exits the Falcon and awkwardly walks past Leia while tending to Finn. Leia then has an emotional hug with Rey. Due to this scene closely following the death of Han Solo, many fans questioned why Leia and Chewie did not embrace one another after the loss of someone that was so close to both of them.

A new edition of the board game for The Force Awakens includes Finn, Kylo Ren, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader tokens – with the notable absence of Rey, the film’s lead.

She has been embraced by fans as this generation’s new film hero, but in the most recent release of the Star Wars Monopoly game, Rey is nowhere to be seen.
