Star Wars announces September 1, 1017 as Force Friday II

Attention, Star Wars fans: It’s time to make some room on your desk, toy shelf, bookshelf, and in your closet.

Disney and Lucasfilm announced Star Wars Force Friday II, a global fan event celebrating the launch of Star Wars: The Last Jedi products. Toys, collectibles, books, apparel, and more will go on sale beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017, with stores around the world opening for a weekend-long celebration of all things Star Wars. Finn Sixth Scale Figure by Hot Toys

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has finally hit the silver screens around the world and already broken box-office records becoming the biggest worldwide opening in theaters! Following the debut of this epic Star Wars film, Sideshow Collectibles and Hot Toys are very excited to officially present the sixth scale collectible figure of one of the main characters from the film – Finn!

Originally trained to serve as a stormtrooper by the First Order, Finn’s conscience has awakened following the skirmish on Jakku, which lead to his encounter with Rey, BB-8, and the Resistance and changes his life forever.

The highly-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of John Boyega as Finn in the film featuring a newly developed head sculpt, finely tailored outfit, LED light-up lightsaber, detailed weapons, and a hexagonal figure stand with the Resistance’s emblem.

John Boyega Says STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII Is Darker and Finn Is More Physical


There were so many questions left unanswered at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens that we may need the two more films in the new trilogy to answer those questions. There are plenty of fan speculation of what we could see happen over the course of the next two films.

None of the actors are really talking very much about the next film, but in a recent interview with Vogue, John Boyega, the actor who plays Finn in the franchise, teased that his character will have a more physical presence in Episode VIII. He also said the movie would be even darker than The Force Awakens. Continue reading
