Out of all of the single digits, the number “6” gets the least love. (Yes, even if you include the zero “0.”) Not only that, the number six gets the least amount of respect. It is associated with “The Devil” and is the number of “The Beast” because… reasons?? It is the least distinguishable amongst the single digits. As a composite number, it loses the appeal that the “prime” numbers 2,3,5, and 7 have. It is not a square number like 4 and 9. Even the number eight has a more aesthetic appeal, with its double loop, vis-a-vis six’s single loop with a cowlick. And I shouldn’t have to explain the appeal of being #1. The only thing the number six can take pride is that it is the first counting number to incorporate the use of a second hand (unless you are one of those people who decides to use the first index finger twice. Following the new piece of concept art, Marvel co-president Louis D’Esposito posted another image from the set of Doctor Strange allowing you to take a look outiside the main window of the good doctor’s Sanctum Sanctorum. Though at first glance it may appear like the skyline from Stephen Strange’s trademark Greenwich Village home, it’s actually a matte background hanging from the ceiling on the set which you can see at the top of the image. Deadline reports that “Fargo” star Rachel Keller has been the first cast in FX’s television spin-off of the X-Men franchise, “Legion”. Her specific character is being kept under wraps for the time being, but she is described as “a scrappy, optimistic woman.” The outlet also notes that her mutant powers may have something to do with physical touch. Despite saying for years that he was working on a script for Rambo V, Sylvester Stallone revealed in a new interview with Variety that he has no intention of reprising his role as the iconic military war hero.
“The heart’s willing, but the body says, ‘Stay home!,’” Stallone, 69, explained in this week’s cover story. “It’s like fighters that go back for one last round and get clobbered. Leave it to someone else.” Continue reading
A new edition of the board game for The Force Awakens includes Finn, Kylo Ren, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader tokens – with the notable absence of Rey, the film’s lead.
She has been embraced by fans as this generation’s new film hero, but in the most recent release of the Star Wars Monopoly game, Rey is nowhere to be seen.
Instead, the game released by Disney and Hasbro features the four character tokens of Finn, Kylo Ren, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. It is the latest in a line of official merchandise that has drawn ire for prioritising less prominent male characters over Rey. Continue reading
