Even with no director attached to it, it appears that Sylvester Stallone‘s Rambo 5 is going to start production on September 1st. Omega Underground was able to get the inside scoop. Here’s what we know about the story so far:

John Rambo ended with Rambo returning stateside to his family ranch in Arizona. The fifth film will have a neighboring rancher/friend see his daughter kidnapped by sex-traffickers who turn out to be members of violent drug cartel and the older Rambo agrees to find/rescue her.

His brother seemingly runs the family ranch now and it’s unknown if his niece is also kidnapped, as it could make it a more personal story including his family members into the mix.

It’s being reported that the film is looking to shoot in Spain/Spanish Canary Islands. Tim Miller’s Terminator movie is also currently filming in Spain as the area is doubling for the Arizona-Mexico border.

I can’t help it, I loved the last Rambo. It had everything that I love in action flicks. Hopefully, Sly steps in and directs this one too. If not, I am sure he will find someone with the same passion for the project. What do you think? Are you excited for more Rambo?
