One Of The Original X-Men Just Came Out As Gay

Iceman, one of the founding members of the X-Men, is out as gay.

In a few leaked pages from All-New X-Men #40, in stores on Wednesday, the teenage superhero is outed by his psychic teammate Jean Grey, who calls him out for saying inappropriately sexual things about their teacher, Magik.

Scarlett Johansson Starts Shooting GHOST IN THE SHELL in 2016

A few months ago it was announced that Scarlett Johansson would be taking on the lead role in the live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell. There was a mixed reaction from fans, as some people thought the casting was great, while others were upset they cast a white girl in the role of a Japanese character.

While speaking with Collider, Johansson said, “It’s happening. It will be shooting the beginning of next year, so I think we start production January or February and it’s me and Rupert [Sanders], and that’s all I know.” Continue reading

Bebop and RocksteadyParamount has confirmed that fan favorite henchmen Bebop and Rocksteady will appear in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

At Paramount’s Cinemacon presentation, the studio showed renderings of the characters as they appear in the film’s current stage of development, likely the same rendering that leaked to the public weeks ago before being squashed by Paramount. Continue reading

Hayao Miyazaki, the main creative force behind legendary Japanese animation house Studio Ghibli, has been suggesting for years that he’s just on the verge of retiring. Last year, Studio Ghibli apparently decided to start taking his comments seriously, and it joined in the suggesting by saying that if Miyazaki goes, it’ll probably either shut down or completely restructure itself. All of that is to say that Studio Ghibli’s next film, an adaptation of Joan G. Robinson’s When Marnie Was There, might also be its last. Continue reading
