That last trailer for Terminator Genysis revealed a ton of crazy details regarding certain plot points in the film that a lot of us didn’t see coming. Last year it was reported Star Trek 3 writers JD Payne and Patrick McKay were hired to write a script for a Flash Gordon reboot that 20th Century Fox is developing. I think that this is an awesome franchise that is actually ripe for a reboot, but apparently the plan is to develop it as a sequel to the 35-year-old film, which just seems weird. But Disney did it with Tron, so maybe it could work.
During SiriusXM’s Town Hall Radio hosted by Entertainment Weekly’s Jess Cagle, Neill Blomkamp and Sigourney Weaver couldn’t get into too many details about that Alien reboot, but Weaver did reveal one (vague) thing: “Let’s just put it this way,” Weaver teased, “We’ve found the host and it’s been embedded…it’s gestated.” Continue reading

I was extremely happy to see that Corporal Hicks was included in the concept art for Neill Blomkamp‘s new Alien film. This is one character that I’ve always wanted to see come back in the franchise, and I was devastated when he was killed off in Alien 3.
