Ben Affleck Puts Batman Directing Doubts to Rest

It seemed like a sure thing that Ben Affleck was scheduled to write, direct and star in a new solo Batman movie, but a recent interview with The Guardian in which he stated “It’s not a set thing and there’s no script” have put the status of the project into question. Further rumors of filming being pushed back from a spring date to sometime in the summer have Bat-fans worried their winged crusader will not take flight, but a new TV interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live! has set the record straight. Continue reading
Zack Snyder Says Wonder Woman Is “Fully Evolved” in JUSTICE LEAGUE
We recently got a great first look photo of the Justice League team together. Everyone was present except for Superman. Justice League will be the most challenging film for Zack Snyder to make, and fans are waiting to see if he will actually be able to pull it off. Fans are split on what they think of Man of Steel and Batman v Superman – some thought they were bad, others thought they were absolute pieces of trash. But everyone can agree that they should’ve and could’ve been much better.
During an interview with USA Today, Snyder talked about Justice League, saying: Continue reading
Deathstroke Actor Joe Manganiello Explains Why Fans Are Going to Love Ben Affleck’s THE BATMAN
There’s been some of negativity surrounding Ben Affleck’s upcoming new Batman film because of a rumor stating that the script has some “serious issues” and that the studio doesn’t care because the movie is going to make money anyway. That’s a terrible mentality to have, but I seriously doubt Affleck shares those beliefs because the guy only makes quality movies that he believes in, and I don’t think he is going to make a shitty Batman film.
Deathstroke actor Joe Manganiello was recently a guest on former pro wrestling announcer Mark Madden’s podcast and talked a little bit about Affleck’s take on the Dark Knight and why fans are going to love it. Continue reading
Young Justice Returning for Season 3
Young Justice fans, it’s time to celebrate, as Warner Bros. Animation has announced the series is returning for a long hoped-for Season 3.
WB Animation notes that more details, including where the new episodes will air and a premiere date, will be revealed later, but production is now beginning on the third season, which promises “new twists, turns and dangerous new threats for the team, but most importantly, the opportunity for fans to finally continue the adventures of some of their favorite Super Heroes.” Continue reading
Joe Manganiello is Deathstroke in Ben Affleck’s Batman Film

After Ben Affleck took to social media to reveal that iconic DC Comics villain Deathstroke would be joining the DC movie universe, the new (official) head of all things DC has arrived to confirm not only his introduction, but who will be playing him. Fans will still need to wonder if Deathstroke the Terminator will be appearing in a small role in Justice League, or if a rumored role as the main adversary in Ben Affleck’s solo Batman movie, but DC Films boss Geoff Johns himself has now spilled most of the beans. BOOSTER GOLD Film Will Not Be Part of the DC Movie Universe
Well here’s some news that seems more positive than not given DC’s recent movie outings. io9 is reporting that the announced Booster Gold film will not be part of the DC Movie Universe. Greg Berlanti (who is heading up the project that was initially pitched as a TV series) gives the official word:
“As of right now we have no connective tissue to those worlds. It’d be a separate thing.”
This would make sense as Booster Gold is a man from the future who steals a super suit and time machine and travels to our time to be a great hero. Booster Gold is a bit too goofy for how serious the current DC movie universe is anyway, so I think that’s best, but he would be great if he were a part of the TV universe!
DC Comics Announces: Justice League Vs. Suicide Squad
It’s not just Marvel getting in on the ‘superteams duking it out’ stuff lately—DC is joining in on the fun with a newly announced event that is setting two of their current most popular teams, the Justice League and the Suicide Squad, at each other’s throats.
Revealed through Wall Street Journal, the event series—written by Joshua Williamson, with art from Jason Fabok—will see Batman decide once and for all that Waller’s Task Force X must be shut down permanently (presumably President Obama agrees with him?), calling in his Justice League allies to bring them in.
