Darth Vader Toaster Burns Star Wars Logo Into Bread

1bd7 star wars toaster

Everyone, stop. The biggest piece of Star Wars release new this year isn’t The Force Awakens, the upcoming spin-off film, or the Marvel Comics series—it’s this Darth Vader toaster.

Knowing full-well that the key to a balanced diet is more Star Wars, ThinkGeek is now selling a Vader-sculpted toaster that burns the Star Wars logo into all manners of bread. Summoning the Dark Side’s force lighting, the Darth Vader toaster show its true power by toasting bread, waffles, English muffins, and toaster pastries. That’s right, Toaster Strudels just became even more irresistible. Sadly, bagels seem to have evaded the Sith Lord’s grasp…for now.

The toaster can toast two slices at a time, and also boasts a reheat, defrost, and quick stop function. Those first two features were probably quite handy during the battle of Hoth.

Pretty cool if you ever wanted to see whats inside of dearth vaders head!

Rumor Update: Han Solo and Boba Fett Spin-off films

Its been  reported more than a few times that Han Solo and Boba Fett are each getting their own Star Wars spin-off films. Latino-Review has heard from their sources that “both these characters are in the same movie.” What?!

This would connect a few dots on the Gareth Edwards directed spin-off that is rumored to be about bounty hunters stealing the Death Star plans. Fett was long rumored to be in the film and wrapping Solo into the fold just further establishes their backstory/history. Hypothetically, this would mean that the Rebel Alliance might have paid the Hutts as intermediaries. These compounded interconnections are likely what future Star Wars spin-off films will be about.

Now You See Me: The Second Act has been in production for five weeks, and today we get our first look at the the cast. The movie is being directed by Jon M. Chu and the cast members you see in the photo are Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Lizzy Caplan, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Daniel Radcliffe and Michael Caine. Isla Fisher was unable to reprise her role of Henley Reeves in the film because she is pregnant, so Caplan was cast as a new character to replace her, named Lula.

Radcliffe is playing Caine’s son in the sequel, and the story takes place one year after the band of magicians outwitted the FBI and won the public’s adulation with their mind-blowing magic tricks. “The Four Horsemen resurface in Now You See Me: The Second Act only to find themselves face to face with a new enemy who enlists them to pull off their most dangerous heist yet.”

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 10th, 2016.

THE FLASH Will Be “Diving Deep” Into Time Travel

We’ve seen from episode one of The Flash that time travel will be a huge part of the overall story. Those familiar with Barry Allen’s story from the comics have been very happy to see that that element is part of the show. While talking to THR, Grant Gustin (The Flash) shared what we might see toward the end of a very solid first season.

“We are diving deep into the time-travel element and it is going to be wild.”

Tom Cavanagh (Dr. Wells) adds,

“It’s ultimately why I signed on to this job. Not to play a scientist, but to play a time-traveling bandit. In comic books, when you start talking about time travel — if anybody has followed The Flash, then they know Reverse-Flash and The Flash are not just doing this right now in the present day. They have a long history and there’s nothing that we’re not going to pursue when we try to tell the story. We’re trying to tell all of it.”

Gustin concludes with,

“I think it would be fun if it totally changed the show for season two.”

Time travel and the butterfly effect have been shown to have a huge ripple effect in the Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox animated movie storyline. Flipping the whole show upside down to pull in elements of that story would be crazy and fun to see.

TNT’s Inside the NBA crew of Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal are essentially the sports TV version of the Superfriends. So it seems appropriate for those guys to team up with DC Comics’ Justice League in a promotional comic book for NBA All-Star weekend.

The Justice League Goes Inside the NBA All Star 2015 is available for free in comic book stores throughout New York City. But fans can also read the comic in a digital format at Bleacher Report and NBA.com. The Hollywood Reporter also had an early look at the entire 16-page story. Continue reading
