Before Star Wars: The Force Awakens was even released, we were seeing all kinds of rumors and speculation about the story of the film. Turns out a lot of those rumors were true but never ended up in the final cut of the movie. Then after the movie was released, we learned of some additional scenes that were originally supposed to be in the movie as well. Continue reading

Disneyland’s Star Wars Land Expansion Layout Shown in Map and New Details Revealed
Disneyland has officially started the construction of Star Wars Land, which was announced last year at Disney’s D23 Expo. The expansion will include 14 acres of unused space, and we’ve only seen a few pieces of concept art for what fans can expect to see. We now have a map that shows us the layout of Star Wars Land that shows us where all the attractions will be, and it shows us just how big that the expansion is going to be. It will be the biggest land at the theme park! It looks so big compared to the rest. Continue reading
Star Wars: Episode VIII pushed to Open December 15, 2017

Disney and Lucasfilm announced that Star Wars: Episode VIII, originally scheduled for release in summer 2017, will now debut on December 15, 2017.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will still be released December 16, 2016.
The move makes sense. Not only does it give director Rian Johnson, who is rumored to be doing major rewrites, more time, it will now mirror the release schedule of The Force Awakens, which is still enjoying massive success over a month after release thanks to a lack of competition. The May release, the traditional date for the previous six Star Wars movies, would mean stiffer competition from other summer blockbusters.

New Details on Darth Vader’s Rumored Appearance in STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE
Last summer a rumor spread like wildfire online that Darth Vader would be in director Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. This is a believable rumor because he plays a major role in the development of the Death Star, and the movie is about a band of resistance fighters embark on a mission to steal the plans for the weapon of mass destruction. When the rumor first hit, these were the details that came along with it:
[Vader] will not be the main antagonist but he will be working behind the scenes, pulling strings and will appear onscreen. Literally, I’m told – he’ll be showing up via viewscreen or holo projection or something. Will our heroes actually run into the Dark Lord of the Sith in person? My source wouldn’t say. My source was also mum about Grand Moff Tarkin, who was of course the commander of the fully operational Death Star.
We now have some additional details on this character and how he will factor into the film, thanks to Making Star Wars. Continue reading
POE DAMERON Comic Series Coming in April
J.J. Abrams originally planned to kill off Oscar Isaac’s fighter pilot character Poe Dameron early in the development of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but thankfully he changed his mind. USA Today reports that Dameron is getting his own Star Wars comic series from Marvel, written by Charles Soule and drawn by Phil Noto. The comic “focuses on the lead-up to the opening scene of The Force Awakens, which saw Poe seeking out mysterious traveler Lor San Tekka (Max von Sydow) on the planet Jakku for a key to finding the missing Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).” Continue reading

John Boyega Says STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII Is Darker and Finn Is More Physical
There were so many questions left unanswered at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens that we may need the two more films in the new trilogy to answer those questions. There are plenty of fan speculation of what we could see happen over the course of the next two films.
None of the actors are really talking very much about the next film, but in a recent interview with Vogue, John Boyega, the actor who plays Finn in the franchise, teased that his character will have a more physical presence in Episode VIII. He also said the movie would be even darker than The Force Awakens. Continue reading

This List is brought to you by the Number Six

Out of all of the single digits, the number “6” gets the least love. (Yes, even if you include the zero “0.”) Not only that, the number six gets the least amount of respect. It is associated with “The Devil” and is the number of “The Beast” because… reasons?? It is the least distinguishable amongst the single digits. As a composite number, it loses the appeal that the “prime” numbers 2,3,5, and 7 have. It is not a square number like 4 and 9. Even the number eight has a more aesthetic appeal, with its double loop, vis-a-vis six’s single loop with a cowlick. And I shouldn’t have to explain the appeal of being #1. The only thing the number six can take pride is that it is the first counting number to incorporate the use of a second hand (unless you are one of those people who decides to use the first index finger twice. Come on – get some dexterity, dammit!) Continue reading
