Supersize Your Superheroes With Hasbro's New 12-Inch Marvel Legends Figures

There have been hundreds of Marvel characters introduced in the comics over the years, and it seems like almost every last one has showed up in Hasbro’s Marvel Legends figure line. But you can only squeeze so much detail into a three or six-inch figure, which is why Hasbro is now supersizing its Marvel Legends line to 12-inches.

Available later this year in the fall, we’re going to assume the new Marvel Legends 12-inch line is Hasbro’s attempt to compete with toymakers like Hot Toys who’ve been creating incredibly detailed foot-tall figures for years now. Continue reading →

The prevailing hypothesis for the reason that we haven’t seen Spider-Man in any of the marketing material for Captain America: Civil War was because they were trying to keep that aspect of the film a secret. Well, it turns out there’s a lot more to it than that.

Mark Ruffalo thoughts of THOR: RAGNAROK

Thor: Ragnarok got a lot of attention a few months ago for reportedly being Marvel’s darkest movie yet, but with more recent aspects like the movie’s new director, how Odin is going to be treated, and the desire for more comedy in the film, so far it sounds a lot more lighthearted than its title indicates (Ragnarok is the Norse apocalypse). A lot can change between now and when the movie goes into production (and we’re obviously only hearing about small elements at a time, not the whole picture), but the latest statement from Mark Ruffalo — who will co-star as Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk opposite Chris Hemsworth’s title hero — seems to be the latest thing that points to the movie being a little lighter than we expected. THE PUNISHER Series Reportedly In Development at Marvel and Netflix

We’ve already heard rumors that Netflix and Marvel were considering a standalone series based on The Punisher. It looks like they might be moving forward with those plans! TV Line is reporting that it is now in development at Marvel.

Fans will get their first official look Jon Bernthal’s version of the character in Daredevil Season 2, which is set to premiere on Friday, March 18th. POE DAMERON Comic Series Coming in April

J.J. Abrams originally planned to kill off Oscar Isaac’s fighter pilot character Poe Dameron early in the development of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but thankfully he changed his mind. USA Today reports that Dameron is getting his own Star Wars comic series from Marvel, written by Charles Soule and drawn by Phil Noto. The comic “focuses on the lead-up to the opening scene of The Force Awakens, which saw Poe seeking out mysterious traveler Lor San Tekka (Max von Sydow) on the planet Jakku for a key to finding the missing Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).” Continue reading →
