As we all might imagine and based on what we’ve seen in the trailer, there is no doubt that Avengers: Infinity War is going to be unlike any other movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with characters from all corners of the MCU uniting.  Now one of the actors who plays one of the most important characters, Chris Hemsworth is giving us a good idea of just how many to expect.

In a recent interview with Postmedia Network,  Hemsworth teased just how massive Infinity War will be, with over 70 characters appearing throughout the film in one way or another.

Chris Hemsworth Says Marvel Actors Have A Contract Prohibiting Them From Appearing In DC Films

Marvel actors are not allowed to appear in DC films according to Chris Hemsworth. Comicbook writes that Hemsworth told fans at the Supanova convention in Australia that it’s “illegal,” for stars of Marvel films to appear in any DC property. The move is unsurprising, and I wouldn’t be surprised if DC had a contract with its actors that states the exact same thing.

While DC seems to be a no-go, it appears that appearing in a Sony film is cool as evidenced by Tom Holland jumping between the two as Spider-Man and Josh Brolin appearing as Thanos in Avengers as well as Cable in Deadpool 2. At the rate these companies are producing movies, Marvel and DC will begin to run out of big names to cast if they keep locking down actors for roles! Do you think the move is good, or is it a bit silly to force the actors into an exclusive hero deal?

A lot can change between now and when the movie goes into production (and we’re obviously only hearing about small elements at a time, not the whole picture), but the latest statement from Mark Ruffalo — who will co-star as Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk opposite Chris Hemsworth’s title hero — seems to be the latest thing that points to the movie being a little lighter than we expected. Chris Hemsworth (Thor) has been cast in director Paul Feig’s female Ghostbusters reboot, and he’ll be taking on the role of the receptionist. That puts a little more of a twist on things because I’ve never seen a receptionist look like Chris Hemsworth. The director made the announcement with the following tweet: Continue reading
