Kevin Feige Responds to Smack Talk From Warner Bros. and DC


The rivalry of Marvel vs. DC has meant big business for both companies in their long histories, and that rivalry has continued into the modern film landscape. I’ve seen a lot of people complain about media coverage that makes it appear as if the two companies are battling it out, and for the most part, I’m sympathetic to those claims: I think some of these stories can get over-hyped and recontextualized to fit into that established narrative, just to fuel the fire of the rivalry. Ben Affleck’s on THE BATMAN Solo Film

Last year a report hit the internet that Ben Affleck would direct and star in a Batman solo film project for Warner Bros. called The Batman. In a recent report from Latino-Review, we’ve learned that this project is still moving forward, and that it’s aiming for a 2018 release date. They’re also reporting that screenwriter Chris Terrio, who wrote Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and is writing the two Justice League films, will also come back to write The Batman. If you’ve been paying attention to The Flash and Arrow, then you may have noticed that Ferris Air has been mentioned in both shows. Ferris Air is an aerospace, defense, and airline company that has been featured in the DC Comics universe, and Hal Jordan was a longtime employee of the company as a pilot.
