Daisy Ridley might star in the Tomb Raider reboot

Of all the young actors who pulled off star-making turns in The Force Awakens (John Boyega, the tiny mouse that controls BB-8, Greg Grunberg), it looks like Daisy Ridley is going to be the one who gets to claim the title of “New Chris Pratt.” In other words, her name is going to be attached to every single high-profile genre project in development, and rumors about her starring in things are going to pop up every few months. It’s fitting, then, given the many times Chris Pratt has been rumored to be starring in an Indiana Jones reboot, that the first hot rumor about Ridley is that she might star as the very Indiana Jones-like Lara Croft in a reboot of the Tomb Raider movie series. While Disney still hasn’t cast Han Solo quite yet, studio CEO Robert A. Iger revealed during Deutsche Bank’s 24th Annual Media, Internet and Telecom Conference (via The Wrap), that Chewbacca will be present for this “origin story.” Here’s what he had to say about the studio’s Star Wars lineup.
