Val Kilmer confirmed on Facebook today that he was asked to come back and reprise his role of “Iceman” in Top Gun 2, and that he accepted the offer. He writes:
“I just got offered ?Top Gun 2. Not often you get to say ‘yes’ without reading the script… We will all miss Tony Scott one of the kindest gentlemen I’ve ever met in the film biz, but let’s fire up some fighter jets again!!!”
Though director Guillermo del Toro says he turned in his script for Dark Universe, or “Justice League Dark,” some time ago, little has been said about the film since then. Plans are still in motion for the rest of the DCEU at large, as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad will both be released in 2016, but no official details on this particular corner has been announced. Now, Latino Review brings some interesting rumors in regard to the film, specifically who Warner Bros. Pictures may be looking to cast in the lead roles. Continue reading
Last week, word came out that producers Amy Pascal and Scott Rudin are developing a sequel to David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, but neither Fincher, nor stars Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara would be back to reprise their roles. Ex Machina and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. star Alicia Vikander’s name was brought up as a potential replacement in the role of Lisbeth Salander, but Mara has since stated that “As far as I know I’m doing it until someone tells me otherwise.” So there appears to be some confusion going on behind the scenes. This week on “Versus” – The regular guy vigilante death match! In one corner, we have David lizeski, who is known as Kick-Ass. And in the other corner, we have Casey Jones from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We thought it would be a great match-up for these 2 characters to go against one another. Both have some decent hand-to-hand combat skills. Both have no super powers. And both like to use weapons. Thor: Ragnarok is shaping up to be the most epic Thor movie yet. We know that The Hulk will be involved with the story and that the two characters will mostly likely get into another fight. There have also been rumors that Valkyrie could make her big screen debut. It’s been said that Marvel is “looking to cast some great women in this movie.”

Ridley Scott will start shooting Alien: Paradise Lost, early next year. He recently brought in John Logan to help him polish up the script. Logan has worked on films such as Skyfall, Spectre and Gladiator. After that, he plans on making another sequel that will lead up to the first Alien film in the series.
Neill Blomkamp’s Alien 5 was put on hold, and it doesn’t look like it will ever get made. Why? Because Scott is trying to keep the franchise to himself. In fact, he regrets letting the franchise get away from him in the first place. Continue reading
