Star Wars announces September 1, 1017 as Force Friday II

Attention, Star Wars fans: It’s time to make some room on your desk, toy shelf, bookshelf, and in your closet.

Disney and Lucasfilm announced Star Wars Force Friday II, a global fan event celebrating the launch of Star Wars: The Last Jedi products. Toys, collectibles, books, apparel, and more will go on sale beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017, with stores around the world opening for a weekend-long celebration of all things Star Wars. In addition, packaging for the new line, featuring striking images of a lightsaber-wielding Rey, Poe Dameron, and Finn, was also revealed today and can be seen above. Continue reading

Hot Toys Feels the Force: An Interview with Founder and CEO Howard Chan

Based out of Hong Kong, Hot Toys has been producing high-end Star Wars figures since 2014, covering the entire Star Wars saga in 1/6 and 1/4 scales. Disney revealed on Monday morning that the next installment of the main Star Wars saga will be titled Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Carrie Fisher Had Finished Filming Star Wars: Episode VIII

Carrie Fisher’s death on Tuesday at the age of 60 has left some Star Wars fans wondering what will happen to the main saga films. Variety reports that Fisher finished her work on Star Wars: Episode VIII, coming to theaters on December 15, 2017. Because of this, the trade adds that The Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm will not have to address Fisher’s death until Episode IX begins shooting in 2018, as Princess Leia was originally slated to appear in that production as well.
