The prevailing hypothesis for the reason that we haven’t seen Spider-Man in any of the marketing material for Captain America: Civil War was because they were trying to keep that aspect of the film a secret. Well, it turns out there’s a lot more to it than that.

How Many Characters Will Appear in Avengers: Infinity War?

Answer: Avengers: Infinity War may feature 67 characters.

Last week, co-director Joe Russo said that fans “will not be disappointed” in the number of characters set to appear in Avengers: Infinity War, but just how many characters does that mean? Speaking at Wizard World New Orleans (via CBM), the Russos put a number out there, and it’s a big one.

“We have so many characters we’re dealing with. We’re breaking ground on Avengers: Infinity War. We have a board with 67 characters on it.”

New Doctor Strange Images Are Magical

As part of Entertainment Weekly’s upcoming “First Look” issue, they’re releasing bits and pieces from their Doctor Strange preview early. After revealing the cover, with Cumberbatch in full Strange mode, they’ve released a handful of more photos and concept art from the film, as well.

The photos show a full spell-casting Doctor (as seen above), which Cumberbatch said he was amazed by.

“These gestures are ways of creating the magic,” the actor said of Strange’s signature hand and arm gestures. “It’s a beautiful thing, it’s balletic, it’s very dynamic.” Continue reading

INFINITY WAR, Spider-Man, and Cap’s Suit in CIVIL WAR


Joe and Anthony Russo are currently working on Captain America: Civil War, and when they are done with that they are going to jump right into developing Avengers: Infinity War. The MCU is a locomotive of awesomeness and there’s no stopping it now. We just get to ride along on Marvel’s adventure, and it’s exciting to think about the things that will eventually happen.

The two directors recently did an interview with Weeping Angel in China, and they talked a great deal about Civil War, and Captain America’s relationship with Winter Soldier and Black Widow. They talk about the challenges of making the film, their approach in bringing Spider-Man to life in the Marvel universe, Cap’s costume, and how the stakes have been raised for the Avengers in Infinity War.
