Sigourney Weaver is Netflix’s biggest villain in Defenders

Marvel’s head of TV Jeph Loeb just announced that Sigourney Weaver will be the main villain in Netflix’s The Defenders. The surprise reveal was made at New York Comic Con, where fans got to see Weaver come onstage next to the Defenders themselves, Charlie Cox, Finn Jones, Krysten Ritter, and Mike Colter.

We don’t know what villain Weaver will play, but the casting is obviously big news. As essentially the first lady of sci-fi, Weaver is iconic for her roles in Ghostbusters, Avatar, and obviously the Alien series. We’re looking forward to whatever it is she does.

Hayley Atwell made a scheduled appearance at Mega-Con today in Orlando and of course everybody wanted to talk about “Marvel’s Agent Carter” and its recent cancellation. According to reports online, originating from a fan who attended the event, the actress – who plays Peggy Carter on the hit series – told the audience that she was flattered by the support and the petition to revive the series. Carrie-Anne Moss Will Reprise Her Jessica Jones Role on Iron Fist.

Marvel and Netflix have announced today that a familiar MCU face is joining the cast of their upcoming Iron Fist series. Carrie-Anne Moss, who debuted as lawyer Jeri Hogarth on “Marvel’s Jessica Jones”, will reprise her role on the new show.

Punisher Spin-Off Officially Ordered at Netflix!

Earlier this year, it was reported that Netflix was developing a Punisher spin-off, set to focus on Jon Bernthal’s gun-toting vigilante from “Marvel’s Daredevil” Season 2. The report was met with caution from Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb, but now Marvel and Netflix have made it official!
