In the wake of Deadpool‘s massive box office success, it shouldn’t be too long until we hear about an X-Force movie officially getting the green light and moving into production at 20th Century Fox. Kick-Ass 2 director Jeff Wadlow wrote a script a couple of years ago, and was supposed to be directing the live-action feature, but that never ended up happening. But Ryan Reynolds has spoken about X-Force as “a priority,” and considering how much money Deadpool made this past weekend, I’d guess Fox will push that plan through fairly quickly. Continue reading

Simon Kinberg Provides Updates on a DEADPOOL Sequel, WOLVERINE 3, NEW MUTANTS, and More
Writer/producer Simon Kinberg has become 20th Century Fox’s go-to guy when it comes to the studio’s Marvel superhero films, and he’s involved with so many properties he’s also become one of the movie press’s go-to sources of information about all of those project since he’s constantly out promoting films he’s worked on.
In an extensive interview with Collider, Kinberg gave updates on a few of the studio’s upcoming superhero projects including a potential Deadpool sequel, Wolverine 3, New Mutants, and Gambit (which he says is looking to shoot in New Orleans). Continue reading
Evan Peters on ‘Bigger’ X-Men: Apocalypse Quicksilver Scene

Many moviegoers ridiculed the look of Evan Peter’s Quicksilver heading into last year’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, but the speedster mutant ended up having the last laugh. One of the most memorable moments in Bryan Singer’s film was a jaw-dropping slow-motion sequence showcasing Quicksilver’s powers, as he foiled Pentagon guards’ attempt to capture Wolverine, Charles Xavier, and Magneto.
Quicksilver was a scene stealer, but his time on-screen was very brief. Needless to say, fans are eagerly awaiting his return in next summer’s X-Men: Apocalypse, where Quicksilver will be on a personal mission to find his father and gets “sucked up into this whole Apocalypse madness.” Those hoping he gets another action scene won’t be disappointed, since an even larger one is in the cards.
X-Men Marvel TV Series Confirmed – LEGION and HELLFIRE
Marvel and Fox have come to an agreement which will allow them to develop two TV dramas set in the X-Men Universe. This is a joint effort in which Fox producers Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, and Simon Kinberg will join forces with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory to bring these series to life.
One series is called Legion and has been given a pilot order at FX. It will be written and produced by Fargo creator Noah Hawley. The second series is called Hellfire and is being developed by Evan Katz (24: Live Another Day), Manny Coto (24), Patrick McKay (Star Trek 3), and JD Payne (Star Trek 3). Continue reading
Hugh Jackman Suggests Tom Hardy As The Next Wolverine
Hugh Jackman is preparing to play Logan one last time in his third standalone Wolverine movie. After that, we have no idea what to expect from 20th Century Fox when it comes to the character. There’s no way that the studio is going to give up on this cash cow, and we’re all expecting them to cast someone else in the role.
During an interview with MTV, Jackman is asked who he would like to see take over the role. After saying that a younger actor will most likely take over for him, he drops the name of Tom Hardy as a good fit for the role. That’s a suggestion that’s not hard to argue with. Hardy would make a freakin’ badass Wolverine! Continue reading
Simon Kinberg Confirms Plan For DEADPOOL, GAMBIT, and X-MEN Crossover
After the disastrous box office performance of Fantastic Four, it’s not too surprising that writer/producer Simon Kinberg said that film’s characters live in a parallel universe to the much more successful X-Men. But just because a crossover between those two properties seems unlikely at this point doesn’t mean Kinberg has entirely given up on the idea of crossovers. Continue reading
X-MEN: APOCALYPSE – New Leaked Image of Apocalypse Looks a lot Better

A couple of images from Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse have hit the internet. It looks like they come from a post-production editing bay being used to work on the movie, but they didn’t come from Singer. The were posted by an X-Men news Twitter feed.
One of the images offers us a much better look at Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse. He actually looks a lot more like the villain in this image, so that’s encouraging. Maybe those original photos we saw of the character weren’t the completed version of what we will see in the movie. Continue reading
Patrick Stewart Confirms Role in Wolverine 3

Earlier this year, Patrick Stewart revealed that there had been talks of teaming him up with Hugh Jackman for the upcoming third Wolverine film, calling it a “very different” type of movie from the other “X-Men” films he has been a part of. Now, speaking with Collider, Stewart confirms that this is the route the film is taking and that he’s not just appearing in the film. Continue reading
