Lucasfilm Will Make More STAR WARS Saga Movies After EPISODE IX

Lucasfilm has already announced that they will be releasing at least two Star Wars films a year for many years to come. Chairman and CEO or The Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger, recently confirmed plans for additional Star Wars films. He told Newsbeat:

“There are five Star Wars films – four more with Episode VII: The Force Awakens – that are in varying stages of development and production. There will be more after that, I don’t know how many, I don’t know how often.”

As of right now, the studio is developing Rian Johnson‘s Star Wars: Episode VIII, Colin Trevorrow‘s Star Wars: Episode IX, Gareth Edwards‘ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Chris Miller and Phil Lord‘s untitled Han Solo movie.
