R-Rated Venom

So a new movie starring Spider-Man villain The Venom has been officially announced, and Sony has assured us that it’s going to be rated R. And I, for one, am delighted. I’ve been a fan of Marvel Comics’ The Venom character since I was a little German boy clipping grass for nickels to buy comic books, and there’s one thing that has consistently frustrated me with every adaptation of the black-suited villain.

Mark Hamill Had a Different Idea For the Ending of THE FORCE AWAKENS

The most powerful moment in Star Wars: The Force Awakens is when Han Solo is killed by his son Ben a.k.a. Kylo Ren. Star Wars fans around the world burst out into tears when we witnessed the hero tragically die. Well, it could have been even more powerful and meaningful if Leia and Luke actually witnessed his death, and that is the ending the Mark Hamill recently shared while talking to Fandango. When asked he would have liked to actually share some screen time with Harrison Ford in the film he explained:

When the title of Star Wars: Episode VIII was revealed to be The Last Jedi, fans began to discuss and speculate what that actually means. Who is the last Jedi!? Is the word Jedi meant to be singular or plural!? Director Rian Johnson was amused by the kind of discussions that fans were having regarding the title, and if you’re still waiting for a definitive answer, we have one for you today. During an interview with Good Morning America, the director confirmed that the title refers to the one and only Luke Skywalker. He says:

“It’s so funny when people started asking that when the title was announced because I never even pondered that question… In my mind its singular. They say in The Force Awakens that he’s gone on to find the last Jedi temple. Luke is the last Jedi.”

Apple Buying Disney?

Tim Cook Apple

Apple could potentially find the cash to pull off a $200 billion-plus takeover of Disney — creating a company worth $1 trillion with “almost limitless opportunities in content and technology.”

That’s according to a speculative analysis from RBC Capital Markets, which in a note to client Thursday said such a colossal tie-up would be contingent on Apple getting tax breaks to “repatriate” overseas cash.

“Recently, investors have increased their expectations that Apple could seriously consider acquiring Disney,” RBC analysts Steven Cahall and Leo Kulp wrote in the note. Continue reading

Everyone seems to be excited for Shane Black’s upcoming Predator sequel. And who wouldn’t be? If you consider Black’s history, especially with the Predator franchise, it makes a lot of sense that this could be the film to bring the series back to stardom.

In an interview with Yahoo Movies, the actor had this to say:

WDW For the Single Guy: An Experiment – Part 2 (resorts)

(DISCLAIMER: The following was originally written by Jerry Skids back in 2009. He is a big Disney fan. He has his own WDW-themed podcast, which you can find here, or here. This is 100% Jerry’s words, completely unedited, out of respect to Jerry. I have not fact-checked any of this information. Obviously the prices have definitely changed since 2009, and should be used for comparative purposes only, not as actual real-time price quotes. And many attractions have come and gone since the time this was written. However, that does not invalidate his suggestions one iota. This is still useful, and I think this is so amazing, that I want to share his knowledge and wisdom. Thank you Jerry! Posted with his permission. – Editor)
