Last month we learned that The Raid director Gareth Evans was interested in make a standalone Hit-Girl movie. There’s no doubt in my mind that would be a badass movie. In a recent interview with JoBlo, Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn confirms that a Hit-Girl spin-off movie is still actually being discussed. He also talks about getting Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloe Moretz back for Kick-Ass 3. Moretz has said in the past that she’s “done with Hit-Girl,” but Vaughn seems pretty confident that he can bring her back into the fold. Continue reading
The upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse is aiming to be both a closing chapter and a new start for the classic Marvel characters on the big screen. Though planned as the conclusion of the “First Class” trilogy, the film will also introduce younger versions of previously-seen characters and seemingly pave the road for a new batch of “X-Men” movies to follow. Not only was Jeff Bridge’s character Obadiah Stane from Iron Man the first main villain to be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he was also the first villain to be killed off. Last night, Marvel Studios broke the internet once again by revealing they would co-produce a new Spider-Man movie in 2017 after introducing the character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe via one of their own films. Well here it is its finally been announced! Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Studios officially announced today that Sony is bringing Marvel into the amazing world of Spider-Man! Under a new deal, a new Spider-Man will first appear in a currently-unspecified Marvel film within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sony Pictures will thereafter release the next installment of its $4 billion Spider-Man franchise, on July 28, 2017, in a film that will be co-produced by Kevin Feige and his expert team at Marvel and Amy Pascal, who oversaw the franchise launch for the studio 13 years ago. Together, they will collaborate on a new creative direction for the web slinger. Sony Pictures will continue to finance, distribute, own and have final creative control of the Spider-Man films. Marvel Entertainment (via TV Insider) has announced that Jaimie Alexander will reprise her role of Lady Sif in an upcoming episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” having previously appeared in Episode 15.
