
Legendary actress Florence Henderson has died at age 82. Henderson died surrounded by family and friends her manager said in a statement released on Thursday.
Henderson died Thursday night at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, after being hospitalized the day before, said her publicist, David Brokaw. Henderson had suffered heart failure, her manager Kayla Pressman said in a statement. Continue reading

20th Century Fox will remake Hasbro’s board game, “Clue”

20th Century Fox has picked up the rights to remake “Clue”, the classic Hasbro board game, after it had been dropped Universal Studios.
Josh Feldman, the head of Hasbro’s TV and film division, is producing for Hasbro Studios. Daria Cercek is overseeing for Fox.
Hasbro launched development of a “Clue” movie in 2008 as part of a six-year partnership with Universal to produce at least four feature films based on branded properties: Clue, Monopoly, Candyland, Ouija, Battleship, Magic: The Gathering and Stretch Armstrong. Continue reading

Actor Anton Yelchin has passed away today at age 27, TMZ reports.
2016 has been a rough year when it comes to celebrity deaths, but the loss of Anton Yelchin has a particular sting due to the actor’s young age and his impressive body of work, ranging from credits like Jodie Foster’s The Beaver to Jim Jarmusch’s Only Lovers Left Alive to the Star Trek franchise. According to this morning’s report, Anton Yelchin was killed in a freak accident outside his home that caused his body to be pinned between his car and a brick mailbox pillar, which was attached to a security gate. New Ghostbusters Is Funnier & Scarier Than Original Says Biased Person Making a Cameo in Film

This should go over like a wheelbarrow full of lead-laced bricks. But shortly after original Ghostbusters star Ernie Hudson tweeted then deleted some disparaging remarks about this summer’s remake, co-creator of the franchise Dan Aykroyd stepped into shower praise on director Paul Feig’s hugely criticized summer blockbuster. Some are claiming that Sony is holding a gun to Danny’s head, demeaning that he speak highly of the movie on social media. Other’s are now slamming Aykroyd for his personal thoughts, just because they don’t mesh with the very loud critics coming out against the movie. New York Comic-Con 2016 Will Be Stan Lee’s Last Appearance

Some sad news has arrived for all of you east coast True Believers out there…Perhaps one of the biggest reasons that we have fan conventions in general, Stan Lee will be making his last appearance at New York Comic-Con ever this year, the convention announced recently on their site. There’s no official reason why Lee has marked this year to be his last for the convention, though since the man is now 93 years old, I imagine traveling every year across the country to New York may sound a bit less appealing the older he gets.
