Hugh Jackman Hints At Final Appearance As Wolverine
Hugh Jackman’s time as Wolverine may be coming to an end.
The actor, who has portrayed the “X-Men” character since the beginning of the franchise in 2000, hinted on Instagram on Saturday that he may be doing that just one more time.
Cinemablend reported rumors earlier this week that Wolverine will indeed make an appearance in the upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse.” Could this be the appearance Jackman is talking about? Without Jackman as Wolverine, will the franchise crumble to pieces? We’d guess probably not, but one should never underestimate the Power of Jackman.
Jennifer Lawrence Says X-Men: Apocalypse Will be Her Last Film in the Series

20th Century Fox certainly lucked out in nabbing Jennifer Lawrence for the X-Men series right before she achieved mega-stardom with the Hunger Games franchise and an Oscar-win for Silver Linings Playbook. X-Men: Days of Future Past took advantage of this by making her Mystique a pivotal character, although if a new interview with MTV is any indication Mystique will not be so front-and-center after the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. Ryan Reynolds Says DEADPOOL Will Appease Critical Fanboys
It’s been months since a Deadpool movie was officially confirmed by 20th Century Fox, but I’m still having trouble believing that it’s actually moving forward. This is one of those projects, like a new Ghostbusters movie, that has been talked about endlessly for years and years, and now both of them are finally happening (and more, in Ghostbusters’ case). Star Ryan Reynolds, who has spoken a lot about the film since its official greenlight, opened up again in a recent interview with Shortlist, and mentioned that he thinks the film will definitely please the vocal, super critical section of fanboys that have been following this project for years: Continue reading
Evan Peters Confirms More Quicksilver in X-Men: Apocalypse

With Bryan Singer going full-throttle on pre-production for X-Men: Apocalypse it only seems appropriate that we get confirmation straight from the horse’s mouth that Peter Maximoff, AKA Quicksilver, AKA everyone’s favorite part of X-Men: Days of Future Past, will return for the prequel/sequel. Thanks to I Am Rogue, we have actor Evan Peters doing just that. Continue reading
Hugh Jackman Wants to Continue Playing Wolverine Until He Dies

Despite previously indicating that his time as Weapon X could come to an end, Hugh Jackman says in a new interview he’d like to keep playing the character of Wolverine until he dies. Jackman tells Cigar Aficionado (via E! Online) that watching Michael Keaton in Birdman stirred something inside him. Continue reading
Marvel’s Vendetta against Fox Continues; Comic Writers No Longer Allowed to Create New X-MEN Characters; FANTASTIC FOUR Comics to End Next Year

While Sony Pictures and Marvel might be able to work out a deal to bring Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the bitter rivalry between Marvel and 20th Century Fox continues. Fox owns the screen rights to X-Men and Fantastic Four, and Marvel has retaliated by undermining those properties. According to Marvel Comics writer Chris Claremont [via Bleeding Cool], the company has forbidden the creation of new X-Men characters because those characters could then be used by Fox.
Hit the jump for more on how Marvel is trying to hurt Fox’s profits even if it means canceling comics. Continue reading
