New POWER RANGERS Movie Shooting This Year

new-power-rangers-movie-shooting-this-year

While conducting an interview with comicbook.com, Jason David Frank (more affectionately known as the Green Ranger), covered a number of topics. He talked about his web series My Morphing Life, his interactions with his fans via social media, oh, and like it was nothing at all, that the much-discussed Power Rangers movie is going to be filmed this year!

Frank does a lot of self-promotion in this piece, but it does seem like he has his finger on the pulse of the next Power Rangers flick. This is what he had to say when asked about it:

“The movie is definitely set for this year. Everything is in place. They won’t give me specific details because it’s all like hush-hush. Even me, I try. I email Saban and ask them kind of what you’re asking me, but they do feel that I’m going to be part of it, because they feel there’s no movie, at least, without me. The funny thing is, one way or another, whether it happens or it doesn’t, I’ve been great to Lionsgate and I’ve been loyal to Saban. It’s not like they owe me, but if I want to ask for a personal favor, I’ve invested into their emotional bank account. I feel like it’s fair to have that withdrawal with them, because I’ve done nothing but support them for the last 10 years, 20 years in fact.

“So when that happens, I don’t need to cash in any favors. I believe it’s going to happen anyway, but when it does, I’ll keep my fans involved, but I will tell you it is being filmed this year.

“I know that for a fact. It’s going to be great when it is.”

For the fans of the original show, this is great news – and it makes sense, considering the film has been given a release date of July 22nd, 2016. so with that said are you ready for more power rangers?

THE WALKING DEAD Season 5 Trailer – “Another Day”

The Walking Dead Season 5 returns on February 8th, and while we wait, AMC has released a new trailer called “Another Day.” This is such a fascinating series, full of great characters. The only problem is…they keep killing them off! I’m curious to see where the second half of this season takes this group of survivors. Here’s a synopsis that was included with the video:

After the tragic events of the mid-season finale–as well as losing the possibility of a cure in Washington, DC–Rick Grimes’ band of survivors find themselves on the road, surviving day to day and trying to hold on to their shredded humanity and dwindling hope.

Stripped of security and without a direction for the future, some of the group near their breaking point, some find themselves hardened and cold and some just try to grasp on to what little they have left.

Though they are still breathing, the line between Rick’s group and the dead is starting to blur.

The show has already been picked up for a sixth season, so the nightmarish adventures will continue.

Actresses Being Tested for First Star Wars Standalone Movie

Tatiana Maisany star warsWhile J.J. Abrams is putting the finishing touches on Star Wars: The Force Awakens for its release on December 18, things are already moving forward on the first Star Wars standalone film with The Hollywood Reporter‘s Heat Vision reporting that actresses are being tested for the female lead in the Gareth (Godzilla) Edwards-directed film.

Canadian actress Tatiana Maslany (left), who has made huge waves playing multiple clones in BBC America’s hit series “Orphan Black,” and Rooney Mara (right), nominated for an Oscar for her performance in David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, are two of the names being mentioned with The Theory of Everything‘s Oscar-nominated star Felicity Jones also on the short list.

rooney mara star warsTHR’s Borys Kit says that Jones may have scheduling issues as she’s already pegged to co-star in the Da Vinci Code sequel Inferno opposite Tom Hanks and directed by Ron Howard.

There still has been no word on who the focal character of the first of the planned stand-alone “Star Wars” movies will be, although Disney and Lucasfilm have already snagged the release date of December 16, 2016. They’re currently looking for a writer to step-in following the departure of Gary Whitta after turning in his draft.

A second stand-alone movie being co-written by Simon Kinberg and Lawrence Kasdan will be helmed by Chronicle helmer Josh Trank, who is currently finishing up his relaunch of The Fantastic Four for 20th Century Fox.

Clark Gregg Talks Launching Inhumans on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Clark Gregg Talks Launching Inhumans in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Last year, Marvel Studios confirmed that the long in-development Inhumans film would be hitting theaters in November of 2018, and president Kevin Feige teased we might be seeing something about that sooner rather than later. Not long after the announcement came the episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” that introduced not only Terragenesis, the process that gives Inhumans their powers, but our first official Inhuman from the source material, Daisy Johnson, AKA Chloe Bennet’s Skye.

Speaking with CBR, series star Clark Gregg opened up about the Inhumans being introduced in the series and what that means for the forthcoming episodes.

“Inhumans represents a different chapter…At least in the comics, the Inhumans, they’re a race of people who’ve been transformed. They’re mutants, more or less. I’ve always loved that part of the comics. They’re people who have evolved differently, and that generates a lot of fear. Some people want to annihilate them. Some people want to lock them up. Some people want to register them. Some of them become superheroes. Some of them become monsters. I find that particularly germane. Are we going to accept the people who are different, or are we going to try to wipe them out?

“I think the first thing we’re going to deal with when we come back is (Coulson) led everyone to this place with the writings. He found this submerged, several-thousand-year-old alien city. It turned out to be like an incubating factory that turned his own most beloved protégée — his surrogate daughter — into something else and got one of his team members killed. That’s not going to be easy on his new team, which has some people who he knows and trusts and some people who are much newer to him.

Gregg went on to express his excitement with having the Inhumans on the series and reveals that it won’t put any creative clamps on the series.

“I’m excited by it. I think the Inhumans is a big, cool part of the Marvel universe, a great story. And we’ll set up something. We’ll get to explore it. I’m glad they’re entrusting us with it, and I think that they’ll take what they’re going to do with it, and it will connect. And yet, we’ll have the freedom to kind of make our show be our show.”

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is set to return this March, while Inhumans will debut in theaters on November 2, 2018.

New Adaptation of Stephen King’s IT Will Be Scary and Vicious

new-adaptation-of-stephen-kings-it-will-be-scary-and-vicious

Director Cary Fukunaga (True Detective) is preparing to shoot the first of a two part big screen adaptation of Stephen King‘s It. The plan is to start filming it this summer.
Seth Grahame-Smith, who is one of the producers of the film, talked about the adaptation in an interview with EW and said that they are moving pretty quickly into production and revealed a little more about what we can expect from the highly-anticipated horror movie.

It is my number one favorite story from King. It’s just such a terrifying and horrific tale, and one of my favorite aspects of the story is that the nightmarish events revolve around a group of kids who are called the “losers club.” The fact that these insane events involving a murderous clown named Pennywise are happening to kids intensifies that fear. The first part of the film will focus on the kids, and the second film will focus on the same characters reuniting as adults to fight the murderous monster of their past.

There was a great TV movie adaptation made in the 90s that I really enjoyed, but I couldn’t be more excited to see what Fukunaga has in store for this new adaptation. In the interview, Grahame-Smith says the film will be scary and vicious, which is exactly what I was hoping for:

“I think that if anything, [the new film] will bring back some of the viciousness of the book that they couldn’t do with the miniseries because it was for broadcast. I think it’s going to be very scary, but I also feel like you’ve got Cary who is going to direct these kids—and he’s incredible at casting, incredible at shooting. He’s incredible with tone and atmosphere.”

I love Fukunaga’s work, especially what he did with True Detective. I have complete confidence in this guy to give us the greatest big screen adaptation of this story possible. If you’ve seen any of Fukunaga’s work, then you know he has a talent of creating an amazing atmosphere for the stories he tells.

With It being a feature film, they’ll be able to get away with so much more craziness than they could do with the TV movie. The book is definitely an R-rated story, and I really hope that we get an R-rated film. They might as well go all out on this movie! Grahame-Smith then confirmed that Fukunaga plans to shoot the first of the two films this summer:

“We’re going to get a draft, what is supposed to be the shooting [script], any day now from Cary and his writing partner. We’re doing a deal for them to write the second movie. Our hope is to prep sometime in the next few months and shoot in the summer. That one is as much on the runway as we can possibly be. I know New Line is ready to go.”

I kinda liked the tv movie  for  what it had to offer back then  so i can imgine what can be  done now with advancement in tech!  are you excited about this?

DEADPOOL Movie Shoots in March!

deadpool-movie-shoots-in-march

Ryan Reynolds and director Tim Miller are gearing up to finally shoot the long awaited Deadpool movie in March in Vancouver! It’s actually happening! One day we’ll be sitting in a dark theater watching a story about Deadpool unfold before our eyes on the big screen. The news comes from GlobalNews.ca, who reports:

“The movie has booked two months at Vancouver’s North Shore Studios, although it isn’t known if the production will shoot in any other locations around the city.”

This is exciting! Hopefully the film lives up to our expectations. Even though the movie will end up being PG-13, I still think that Reynolds and Miller are going to give us the best film they can under the circumstance of being produced by FOX.

The movie also stars T.J. Miller and Ed Skrein, but we don’t know what supporting roles they are playing yet. The movie will be released in February 2016, and I hope the fans come out in droves to make it a huge success.

I personally  hope this film is a great success!  I love this character for  all the  character has to give!  I  would like to see a few films with him and maybe twist into the mcu!  I just hope the movie can survive the rated score!  what are your thoughts we want to know!

FRIDAY THE 13TH Reboot Update Confirms the Obvious

friday-the-13th-reboot-update

Producers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller are currently in the process of developing another reboot of Friday the 13th for Platinum Dunes. In an interview with Collider, Form gives a little update and confirms that Jason will be coming back to the big screen to kill a bunch of stupid drunken horny teenagers in the woods.

“Just working on the script still. Hoping to make that movie this year and Brad, I’m gonna confirm that Jason is in the movie. There was a rumor out there that Jason was not in it…”

Fuller reiterated…

“Jason is in the movie, that is confirmed.”

Why wouldn’t Jason be in the movie? He has become the iconic staple of the franchise. Was there a time when they weren’t going to include Jason? I think it’s funny that they are confirming the obvious. The last thing I heard about the movie was that the producers were taking pitches for a found footage version of the franchise. I always enjoyed watching the original films, but the last reboot sucked, and I’m not convinced that this next one will be any better. The movie is set to be released on November 13th, and it will be directed by David Bruckner (V/H/S).

ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING Remake Coming to Disney Channel

adventures-in-babysitting-remake-coming-to-disney-channel

The 1987 comedy Adventures in Babysitting is getting a remake for the Disney Channel. I really liked the original Elizabeth Shue movie when I was younger, probably because I had a crush on her. This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard about the classic ’80s flick being remade, though. Back in 2007 there was news that Raven Symone was going to star in the remake, but she’s no longer involved.

The movie follows the further adventures in babysitting and “recounts a dull evening for two competing babysitters, Jenny, played by Sabrina Carpenter (Girl Meets World), and Luci, played by Sofia Carson (Descendants), that turns into an adventure as they hunt for a kid who somehow snuck away.”

The original film was great, and there’s no way the remake will be as good. The first movie was rated PG-13 and contained the F-word twice, which is a big deal for a PG-13 movie. You can’t get away with that these days. The movie also took the adventure to some very shady parts of the city and included sexual situations and violence.

The orginal was fun so i would like to see where they will take this!  what are your thoiughts?
