Will Smith Talks Steven Hiller’s Fate Before Independence Day: Resurgence

Even though we’ve known Will Smith bowed out of the sequel for a while now, when 20th Century Fox revealed the first trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence, many fans who don’t read the trades were probably wondering where the star was. Later, a viral website detailing the alternate history of the Earth in the wake of the first film revealed Smith’s character, Steven Hiller, had perished between the two films. Although director Roland Emmerich had previously blamed everything from Smith’s asking price to his overwhelming star power to his reluctance to return to sci-fi due to After Earth bombing, the Fresh Prince has now gone on record to Yahoo! on why he doesn’t appear and how he feels about the fate of his character. Kylo Ren throws tantrums and Destroys His Surroundings in Everyday Situations
If you thought there was a lot of Star Wars content on the internet before The Force Awakens hit theaters, prepare yourselves for a monstrous tidal wave of it that will never, ever stop. There is a host of new characters to create parody videos about, and it seems like Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren is emerging as an early fan favorite.
Video by YouTuber Bill Bergen that depicts the emotional Force user faced with common, everyday scenarios and not reacting well to them AT ALL. His tantrums were sometimes played for laughs in the movie, but it would be pretty terrifying to be near someone with that much power if he flew into a fit like that, so this video tones down the horror and plays up the humor.
