It’s Official: Spider-Man Enters the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

spidermanWell here it is its finally been announced! Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Studios officially announced today that Sony is bringing Marvel into the amazing world of Spider-Man! Under a new deal, a new Spider-Man will first appear in a currently-unspecified Marvel film within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sony Pictures will thereafter release the next installment of its $4 billion Spider-Man franchise, on July 28, 2017, in a film that will be co-produced by Kevin Feige and his expert team at Marvel and Amy Pascal, who oversaw the franchise launch for the studio 13 years ago. Together, they will collaborate on a new creative direction for the web slinger. Sony Pictures will continue to finance, distribute, own and have final creative control of the Spider-Man films. G.I. JOE 3 Might Include Tomax, Xamot and a M.A.S.K. Character

Director DJ Caruso is in the process of developing G.I. Joe 3 for Paramount Pictures. As much as I’ve enjoyed the films that Caruso has made, I don’t think he will be able to save this franchise. The first two movies weren’t good at all. I’m surprised that they haven’t rebooted it yet, which is something they should have done after the first film.
