Old Cletus was never the picture of sanity at the best of times, but merging with an alien symbiote brou  ght out all new kinds of crazy in this maniacal criminal!

This mass-murderin’ monstrosity took evil to a whole new level when he was first introduced, and even made Venom seem positively logical by comparison. By bonding with Cletus Kassidy the symbiote took an already unhinged killer and imbued him with incredible powers of strength, speed, and shape-shifting – turning his body into a living weapon!

Anti-Venom Statue by Sideshow Collectibles AND Prime one studios

Anti-Venom Statue Developed and manufactured in partnership with Prime 1 Studio, we are proud to present Anti-Venom. Eddie Brock was debonded from the Venom symbiote, traces of it were left in his body. Later, suffering from cancer, Brock started working as a volunteer in the F.E.A.S.T. Center. Martin Li, the alter-ego of Mr. Negative, and founder of F.E.A.S.T. used his powers to cure Eddie’s cancer. In the process, he accidentally infused the remnants of the symbiote in Eddie’s bloodstream with his power and fused them to his white blood cells, creating a new hybrid symbiote which manifested when the Venom symbiote attempted to leave its then-current host and return to Eddie. This new symbiote had powerful healing powers and other powers that differ from the Venom symbiote, producing antibodies that can cure any known disease and remove any other impurities within a human body. Unlike other symbiotes, this symbiote is completely mindless and Eddie Brock is in full control of his actions. Continue reading →

Hot Toys Feels the Force: An Interview with Founder and CEO Howard Chan

Based out of Hong Kong, Hot Toys has been producing high-end Star Wars figures since 2014, covering the entire Star Wars saga in 1/6 and 1/4 scales. Its work is nothing short amazing, a testament to the growth of what’s possible in a collectible. Face sculpts, from Han Solo to Jyn Erso from the new Rogue One line, that look real; outfits and accessories, like Luke Skywalker’s cloak or Rey’s Jakku tatters, made of actual, weathered cloth and leather. Indeed, if Kenner marks the start of the evolutionary Star Wars toys chart, Hot Toys is somewhere near the end. Hasbro has revealed their line of Spider-Man: Homecoming action figures. There are a couple of 6-inch figures of Spidey, the villain Vulture, a Spider-Man car, and a couple playsets. The coolest thing in the collection is the Spider-Man action figure featuring Peter Parker’s homemade suit. This suit has been briefly teased in Captain America: Civil War and in the trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming because apparently, we’ll be getting a little back story on Parker before he meets up with Tony Stark and gets his new suit. This cold-blooded Corellian is a veteran of countless bounties who has tirelessly pursued his targets since before the Clone Wars, but those decades of work have taken their toll. His weather-beaten face is now heavily scarred, but the cold dead eyes of this remorseless man-hunter are as bright and hungry as ever!

Available exclusively through Sideshow, every inch of this iconic character has been lovingly and painstakingly reproduced by our artists. From the worn fabric that encompasses his grizzled visage to his much-used (and much feared!) Valken-38 Blaster Carbine and DL-21 Blaster Pistol, our Dengar Sixth Scale Figure captures every nuance of this remorseless mercenary’s character.
Fully articulated, our Sixth Scale Dengar figure features a highly detailed movie-accurate head portrait with a fabric face cover and sculpted head wrap.  His outfit includes a padded fabric under-suit, flight suit, belt, and pouches (including a leather-like holster), sculpted boots, and a highly detailed backpack which contains both sculpted and fabric components.
