X-Men Marvel TV Series Confirmed – LEGION and HELLFIRE

Marvel and Fox have come to an agreement which will allow them to develop two TV dramas set in the X-Men Universe. This is a joint effort in which Fox producers Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, and Simon Kinberg will join forces with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory to bring these series to life.

One series is called Legion and has been given a pilot order at FX. It will be written and produced by Fargo creator Noah Hawley. The second series is called Hellfire and is being developed by Evan Katz (24: Live Another Day), Manny Coto (24), Patrick McKay (Star Trek 3), and JD Payne (Star Trek 3). Continue reading →

Marvel new TV Series DAMAGE CONTROL

Ben Karlin, former executive producer of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, is developing a new show called Damage Control for Marvel TV, and ABC has just given it a pilot order.

‘Lethal Weapon’ TV Series In Works At Fox

Lethal Weapon 3Add “Lethal Weapon” to the list of movies getting the TV treatment.

Fox has given a put pilot order to a Warner Bros. TV drama from writer Matt Miller (“Forever”) based on the 1987 action pic that starred Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. The project is shepherded by prolific WB-based producers Dan Lin and Jennifer Gwartz, who exec produce with Miller through Lin Pictures. Continue reading →

Genndy Tartakovsky’s new animated film Hotel Transylvania 2 was released earlier this week, and it was also recently announced that we would be seeing a Hotel Transylvania 3, but he won’t be back to direct that sequel, as he’s got a bunch of other projects that he’d like to work on. First Look at Hawkman and Hawkgirl in DC's Legends of Tomorrow!

Production on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow officially began this week and to cap off a week of filming, DC Entertainment and The CW have released our first official look at Ciara Renée and Falk Hentschel as Hawkgirl and Hawkman! Check out the photo in the gallery below!

With powers derived from the ancient Egyptian hawk god, Horus, Kendra Saunders (Renee) and Carter Hall (Hentschel) are destined to reincarnate through time as winged, helmeted warriors. The pair will debut in the crossover episodes for Arrow and The Flash before spreading their wings in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow next year. Continue reading →

HBO Picks Up ‘Sesame Street’

For “Sesame Street,” a new road leads to HBO.

The Time Warner pay-cable service said it would license the next five seasons of the venerable program, which has taught preschoolers for decades about numbers, letters, emotional development and the joys of a rubber duckie. The series has become a mainstay of the American cultural experience, and has often served as one of the first pieces of video entertainment experienced by the nation’s tykes.

“Sesame Street” will still appear on PBS, which has aired the program since 1969. But new episodes will first appear on HBO, and then be provided to PBS after nine months. It was disclosed yesterday that PBS would run only half-hour episodes of “Sesame Street” in the fall, as opposed to a full hour – which has been the norm for years. Continue reading →

Matt Ryan’s Constantine Will Appear on ARROW

DC Comics’ Constantine may have been canceled by NBC, but actor Matt Ryan is going to reprise his role as John Constantine in the fourth season of Arrow! The news was announced at The CW’s Television Critics Association press tour presentation.

Punisher pictures from Daredevil Season 2

Daredevil Season 2 is currently in production, and today we have some photos from the set featuring Jon Bernthal as The Punisher roughing up a petty thug, or maybe a cop, who is obviously no match for him.

As you can see, Frank Castle isn’t sporting his classic look yet with the skull logo on his chest, but there’s no doubt that he will. I’m sure he won’t be drawing that kind of attention to himself everywhere he goes. I am looking forward to seeing what his battle costume does look like, though!

One thing is for sure: Benthal looks freakin’ badass in the role. That is the best casting decision they could have made! I would love to eventually see this character make his way to the big screen in the MCU. That goes for Daredevil too! Continue reading →
