After a lot of rumors and speculations since the second season finale of “The Flash”, Grant Gustin has confirmed that season three will launch with one of the character’s most popular storylines: “Flashpoint”. The end of the season two finale pretty much set it up, so it’s great to see that the team behind the series is moving forward with it.
Gustin revealed that he had read the script for the season three premiere, and then with the permission of writer and executive producer Greg Berlanti he said that the title of the episode was “Flashpoint” and he’s not messing around! Following yesterday’s report that Rick Gonzalez has joined the cast as the vigilante known as Wild Dog, Deadline brings word that “Chicago P.D.” star Josh Segarra is set to play the vigilante known, appropriately enough, as Vigilante. The CW has given early renewals to 11 of its primetime series for the 2016-2017 season!
The CW renewals list includes the shows Arrow, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, iZombie, Jane The Virgin, The Originals, Reign, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and The 100.
“The CW has become home to some of the most critically-acclaimed shows on broadcast television,” says The CW’s President, Mark Pedowitz, “with a wide array of fantastic scripted series across the week, ranging from musical comedy, to superhero action, to gritty sci-fi dramas.
